Been quite windy today so warm in the sun cold out of it.

Went to Sainsbury's and was puzzled to get a £1 off brand match till spit because the only brands I bought were Lindt (no other SM in our town sells it) and Innocent which was 2 for £3 on offer. While I was there I got rammed in the ankles by a bloke on a disability scooter who was then fit enough to leave it outside the pub.

Budgetwise I allow £100 pw for food for 2 ppl but in practice that also includes toiletries, laundry products, dog food, kitchen roll, the occasional book or magazine and t-shirts from supermarkets because I can't be bothered to have assorted budgets.

Ocado is running 1hr20mns late atm..

Might possibly have solved the need armchairs before Christmas prob.. going to Next tomorrow to look at the Hendon fabric in Mocha and if we like it then picked out three armchairs we can buy on 0% interest over 12 months. That's cheaper than using 4% APR credit card and means we can buy the new washing machine cash before Christmas hopefully. Am learning stuff from MSE :money:

Mad hugs all round everyone back to painting xxx

You need to register and print off coupons each month.

    L'OREAL INSIDER
    Hope that's what you found.

Soworried - well done and you are moving forward with "great strides" now, if you'll excuse the pun.
Things like that don't need to be on topic, everyone will be pleased to see your progress.

Wasted a trip to Sainsbury's tonight, very little reduced. Cooked whole chickens at £2.20 were perhaps the highlight. There wasn't even any cream cakes left and I would have paid the 3 for 2 price.
    I bought a packet of Jelly Babies again for 74p, 2 tins of Heinz 5 Beans at 84p each and used 2 x 85p coupons - total = 72p.
I'm going to Tesco on Sunday to use my L'Oreal skincare coupons and hope to get some more bargains like last Sunday - Sainsbury's has been cr4p this week. :(

More beans tomorrow for the Harvest Festival - just told MIL tonight to expect 20 tins or so.

No spend day for me today :)

Wow didn't realise it was 6 weeks since Flo was last on, hope she is OK. Time flies!

Edwardia - you may have already considered it but there was an 18 month 0% credit card from Natwest recently. I'm finding it useful mainly for things that I buy but know I might return (hate paying it off in full and then having to wait for refunds so this way I have time to work out if I am definitely keeping it before paying it off the card) - may work for your couches?

Well done for your run soworried!

Everyone is doing really well for clearing out the freezer! I've been trying to tempt some of the MFW to join us as grocery spends have been coming up quite a lot over there & I've been singing the praises of you lovely lot :D

Soworried - well done :j that's great. If you Google (other search engines are available) health walks you should find some in your area. They're free, some places you get freebies such as tea/coffee/pedometer/rucksack. The walks are all graded for difficulty and itn tells you how long they take too.

Ms_night_ryder thank you for thinking of me. :T I do go to Lidl and buy the organic Heirloom tomatoes (200g multi-coloured cherry size 1.49) and Oaklands organic carrots when in stock. They carrots were 94p two weeks ago though  Re: cherry juice, there's a Polish brand called Tymbark and they have one, my local Sainsbury's stocks it. Enjoy your food processor :) I sometimes wonder how anyone made soup without them years ago..

September is organic month so hopefully there will be plenty of organic offers on ;) I may do some batch cooking and freeze things if prices are really good.

OH has taken out of the freezer the wild rabbit which had been lurking since December for stew plus the Laverstoke Park Farm lamb scrag and some Dell'Ugo spinach and ricotta ravioli (Ocado offer).

I'm having Tesco tinned short sketti as the paint fumes got to me earlier and I was sick. :( We've just got second coat of eggshell to do on skirting boards, the walls to emulsion, windows and floor to clean and floor to wax :) :j

In to the freezer went Laverstoke Park Farm org pork n smoked bacon sausages (look yummy), Daylesford org chicken drumsticks plus chicken thighs (10% off introductory offer) and Waitrose org chicken wings (390g 1.97 not bad)

Has anyone PM'd Flo ? Not seen her on other boards meself.

Ocado turned up late, they don't give out money off vouchers for that. :( Did get a freebie magazine, toothpaste sample and a flyer offering me a free Graze box. Might order one for Christmas nearer the time ;)

Lip_Stick hasn't post for quite a while (hope all is ok) and also Kirri and Cherrypies (hope that Cyprus holiday was fab).
Lip_Stick, if you are looking in, Home Bargains have the tinned tomatoes @ 29p or 4 tins for £1 - I remembered you were after cheap tinned tomatoes.

Early night as need to be up early as decorator want to start 9am'ish!!

Night, night - maybe porridge tomorrow??

    Morning
Thankyou Edwardia for the walk links. My getting out of the house is a spur of the moment thing at the moment. If I think about it for long I won't leave. Getting stronger everyday though. :)

Today I have pulled out some bread for toast, we are sick of cereal.:rotfl:
Lunch will be left over soup from yesterday. Dinner will be cheese burgers with home made garlic and cheese bread. Weekend treat.
I have also pulled out a pork loin joint for sandwiches over the next few days. That is in the oven now.
