morning all... feeling really rough (self inflicted), don't wanna think about food.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
  • Oh dear lipstick - you have my sympathy.
    Katscorner - marry him :p

I had a disastrous shopping day yesterday. Went to Sainsbugs and selected all the loreal goodies and then when I unpacked them on the belt I realised that the coupons were on the dining room table :o put them back and got some more sun cream to make up the £15 to get the voucher but miscalculated and it only came to £14. The cashier originally said we had the wrong stuff and to query it at customer services, we then did the maths. I took it back to customer services and blamed DH :o said he'd bought the own brand when I told him to get nivea :rotfl:and got the money back.
    I'll try again today.
Had a whole lamb shoulder barbequed last night and a packet of organic sausages from the freezer - so two gaps. I must not buy anything more .....
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D

£75 off over 5 shops? What's that about? My Waitrose has just started delivery!

Unfortunately you had to order your first shop for delivery on the 6th July or earlier, and the last one has to be done by 31st August :( but the info is here, hopefully they will repeat it

    Morning all.

What a week of indulgance ive had, suprise bbq, 2 bottles of champagne, numerous cocktails and 2 huge bday cakes, have cake in the freezer, gave most f it away lol, then off to europe, more junk food and belium chocs in belgium and amsterdam lol, more champagne in first class and shots f cognac and rum in the lounge lol.

When i got back on friday, i went to mr s on the way home, got single cream, herby puff pastry and a yogurt pot £1.28, but forgot to freeze the cream, so 29p down the draIN.

Really need a detox, so will start tomorrow, grilled and steamed foods only, going to attempt steamed chicken at some point, see what its like.

Also went to costco got a box of chicken and tray of pork shoulder, all portioned in freezer.

Today as my last nice meals i have taken out the leftover chinese for lunch, also some costco chicken and a ready made pasta and spinach in cheese sauce, easy bung chicken on grill or sc and bung pasta in the oven.

Will go to mr s later, see what reductions they have, can squeeze a few more things in freezer, would ideally like some fish for steaming, gt so much change around the house, will gather it all up to spend in mr s.

Came back fro wireless yesterday, loads of drinking there, will be on only water as of tomorrow, will also try and go to a sauna lol.

    Hope you are all o.k

Happy Sunday all. Spent £11.88 on lunch items this week. Need to ration the crisps as they get eaten way too quickly in this household of 2. Treated myself to a tub of vanilla icecream to go with out 12 free strawberries picked from the garden this morning.

In the freezer - Tub of icecream

Out of the freezer -2 beef stroganoff, yorkshire puds and roast potatoes - way too hot for this really but who knew the sun would be out! Also one loaf of bread coming out and a packet of crumpets.

Somehow can see day light again in there - strange when only on Thursday it seemed jam packed?!

    £666.71 left until December.

Anyone know a good app for a meal planner for the iPad/iPhone?

Mr.Kitty's Mum came up to see us today baring gifts of a dominos pizza ^_^. ate half, froze the other. I had planned to make a roast dinner for us, both I'll save that for tomorrow.

Big a massive shops in Sainsburys this week - £68 quids worth. At first I was a little upset (a lot actually) but the quality of the food is so much better than ASDA; everything tastes fresher. I had a stir fry last night and it was beautiful!
Now I am employed, lets get rid of this student debt! :D:D
  • Night ryder - it all sounds fab!
I had a better shop in Sainsbugs today.
Got cherries, papaya, spring onions and nectarines all at 20p each.
I also remembered my vouchers and got 4 shampoo, 2 cleansers, 2 packets of wipes and 3 men's deodrants and in all just over £21 worth and paid the grand total of ...............£1.03. We also got the 5p off a litre of petrol voucher so DH saved nearly £2 filling up.:T

    I've been Money Tipped!
blackandwhitebunny - well done on sorting the L'Oreal issue.

    ms_night_ryder - a bit of the high-life there - sounds fun.

    Lip_Stick - hope you've recovered.

Not many bargains in Sainsbury's today so just bough a bag of 8 bananas for 19p and 2 more Cravendales using 2 more 50p coupons (only 3 coupons left and they end 10/07).
Garage fridge has about 6 litres in there now with 3 more to go - use by end of July, so keep me going.

Had the pork tenderloin with blue cheese sauce and made "tasty tatties". Finished off the scones and strawberries and cream later.

I'm away helping a friend tidy a house tomorrow so she doesn't lose her deposit (or part of it), so no planned meals for myself. Taking out a steak pudding for hubby.
Bacon to finish off for breakfast.

Waiting for the tennis to re-start!!

    Hi all,

I'm still plugging away at my freezer - gammon steaks out for tonights dinner and some bbq chicken out for sandwiches tomorrow. Have put some more items in though - king prawns which will come out again in the week for sandwiches and 2 peppered grill steaks from Aldi that were 30% (they go out of date tomorrow). The freezer opens and closes a lot easier now though so progress is being made!
