I'm eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge
Comments

I think it's time I delurked the unbelievable happened to me yesterday I couldn't fit all my whoopies into the freezer. I had been doing so well emptying the freezer and cupboards. I must not buy anymore food I really must not buy any more food.
Its so differcult now as I recently had weight reducing surgery and we need just one chicken breast or pork chop as I'm eating less than my 4 yr old granddaughter.
I have had so much good advice from here and am so pleased that this thread is here.Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.0 -
morning all, we ended up with fish and chips yesterday it was one of those days, problem is i now have spuds peeled and veg ready to boil yet i have some lovely ribs defrosted for tonights dinner, so i'm thinking of making a sausage and bean pie (fried onions, sliced sausage, veg and 2 tins of beans topped with mash and cheese) for tomorrows dinner, hubby won't be keen if i do mash and veg with his yummy ribs he'll want chips, yesterdays casarole was burnt so is going to the dogs
breakfast was shredded wheat and apples for the kids (who are off school sick) i had toast with real butter(yummy) and homemade jam i got at a fair.
lunch will be ham pittas for the kids to use them up and i will have a cheese and ham toasties
dinner will be ribs with chips for us and since were now having sausages tomorrow breaded chicken for the kids.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Morning all.
Ds' surgery went ok. Bit of blood in one ear but he's not moaning about it which is good. Managed to see the torch go by. Got back with about 20 minutes to spare. Was quite nice cos a few friends and kids had gathered so ds had a run about with them, even though I had to keep telling him to calm down lol. Ended up getting a takeaway as I couldn't be bothered to cook last night.
Felt absolutely shattered this morning. Early night for me tonight!
Dinner today is sausage muffins. Tea will be the lamb shanks that need using up. Will take ds to the park today as he's not allowed at school til tomorrow. Shouldn't really be taking him to park but he seems absolutely fine, judging by him wanting to fight with me last night!
Ello kirri, nice to see you posting, but please don't encourage people onto the comp boards, you know it's a waste of time.
Welcome to auditbabe and purple.sarahThere's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Morning (bit late)!!
auditbabe - welcome and fully understand regarding fitting in the "whoopsies" - have that issue all the time and annoyed that I found an unused ice box in the fridge in the garage .................... not unused any more. lol
Lip_Stick - great that hospital visit went well.
quintwins - I think we'll treat ourselves to fish and chips after this first six months budget has been completed.
I'm back on my food and hubby's off his.
I had toast (x2) topped with cheese slices. Those Lidl half-price cheese slices were such a bargain and really nice. I may buy full price .......... but not promising. lol
Cooking minestrone now for meals as hubby's not hungry and took out a pack of bacon (for soup) and chicken for casserole tomorrow.
Not even a noticeable difference in the freezer!!!!
I'm going to have to reduce the freezer stuff over the next 3 [STRIKE]years [/STRIKE]months ............... if possible.
Great selection, but needs eating rather than added to.
No planned spends today (unless silly reduced later), but need stuff tomorrow - must write a list.

Tomorrows pies made (i used the 15p cocktail sausages i got the other day) and my ribs are on to boil.
Mum phoned asking me to pick her up at 9 so i might do a whoopsie shop but i'll only be buying greatly reduced items we acually need.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Hi y'all ! Hope you're all well
Weather here veering between sunshine and clouds.
OH forgot to get anything out of freezer last night for dinner today so we'll be eating veggie and cooking something up using fresh and dried herbs, aubergine, courgettes, celery, fresh tomatoes, passata, leeks, spring onions, assorted cheeses, nuts and seeds.
May have to go shopping tonight and will see how much organic we can get.. when they have it ASDA seems to be cheaper, but we could call in to Lidl and Sainsbury's too.0 -

Cleaned and sorted cupboards and tidied up pans etc and threw out a few old cooking trays and opened up a pack of new ones I've had for ages and found my cake tins ................... still unwrapped!!
Keeps me busy and out of shops.
Minestrone was lovely, but noticed when making that I'm down to 10 tins of tomatoes now ..................had almost 40 tins at one time - got 30 tins of Tarantella organic tomatoes from Asda ages ago when they were 12p per tin and best tinned tomatoes (chopped) I've ever had - would love that offer again.
Need to look out for the 4 tins for £1 offers (decent ones).
quintwins - hope the little one is OK.
Good luck to all going on holidays soon - hope you get some sun!!

He's fine now thanks, driving me up the walls, it got very chesty and hoarse but it came on quickly and seems to have left just as quick, you'd never guess he was sick now, i on the other hand am ready to curl up in bed for a week, now do they cope so well with broken sleep?
I was very lazy and forgot t make a marinade for my ribs!!!! just relised so threw some honey, mustard garlic salt and some heinz bbq sauce (says it cane be used as a marinade on it) over them, hope it's nice as they were £8 so would be a shame if i spoiled them, there is far too many tho, next time i think i'll cut them up and freeze is 3 lots. Cross your fingers that my tea's yummyDEC GC £463.67/£450

Fingers crossed Quintwins.
Been lazing about all day, had for Lunch 2 potato skins with sweetcorn, cheese and bacon, with 2 chicken tenders left in freezer and slice of pizza I froze, all was good, got the bacon from the joint I slow cooked in Apple juice.
Popped out to waitrose as its the nearest, got some rolls so I can have some bacon rolls for dinner, reduced, also got 2 packs of easy cook chicken breasts 2 in each, chilli and ginger and another, they were on a deal so got 2 quid further off the price so £3.80 for 4 chicken breasts, also got some watermelon, which is gone, wotsits and juice spent £9.38 wanted aome onion rings but they only had beer battered, which i haven't tried, plus it was real onions, i like the ones with chopped up onion, just picki g on bits at the mo, rolls later.Lose 28lb 3/28lb
