Didn't do so well today as bought some food that was not on the list.... however they were all at a bargain price.
I spent £4.62.
Minus the full price items it means I spent £1.92 on the following items which would have originally cost £11.66!
Caesar Salad
12 Crumpets
1kg Carrots
4 Plain Bagels
Family Stirfry
Organic Lemons - 4 pack
4 Baguettes
Loaf of Bread.
That will provide me with the following meals.
6 x Breakfasts (crumpets)
5 x Lunches (bagels and caesar salad + store cupboard things)
4+ x meals of Carrot Soup + baguettes
3 x puddings (Lemon sponge)Mortgage: [STRIKE]Jan 11 - £91830 [/STRIKE][STRIKE] Jan 12 - £89'199[/STRIKE] May 14 - £69'999 Car Loan: [STRIKE]Jan 11 - £3658 [/STRIKE] July 12 - £0! Credit Card: [STRIKE] Jan 11 - £3300 Jan 12 - £2250 [/STRIKE] Oct 13 - £0

Evening all.
Welcome to all that's joined the thread recently - hope you do well.
All those "off colour" - hope you are all feeling better.
Nice relaxing holiday and the weather was kind with only slight rain (though it rained hard for 10 minutes mid-afternoon and quite a bit during the night) - wouldn't mind the same next year to be honest.
Anyway, back to normal and got some bargains tonight from Sainsbury's (some cheap steak puddings/pies in freezer) and spent a total today of £5.21 which included milk and some cookies (half-price at 50p) and some reduced cakes and bread. Having some Victoria sandwich now with coffee - 54p bargain.
No reduced fruit or veg of any value and have to get some tomorrow and start meal planning.
Early night and pick up again tomorrow and hopefully grab some coupons.
The Anchor cream one looks good and I've got a great scone recipe which uses cream - need to find it. A bit extravagant, but really nice.

We had HM salmon quiche, HM garlic wedges with carrot, cauliflower & leeks for dinner.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning.
Just toast and coffee for breakfast and nothing planned as yet apart from finishing off the cakes.
Need to make a list as short on a few things and probably pop into Aldi later.
Weather dull sadly, hope it picks up and lawns to mow and loungers out.
Have fun in the sun.

Last nights fish pie was AMAZING! So much so that my older son
finished all the leftovers after playing outside all afternoon and evening.
So, toad in the hole with salad and carrots tonight instead of LO fish pie! We all love toad in the hole, so i know there wont be any leftovers of that!
I have about 6 sausages in the bottom of the freezer, so those'll be used up, and the batter mix that i found in the bottom of the cupboard the other day0 -
Morning all.
Had boiled egg and soldiers for brekkie today, ds' choice. Not sure about meals today. Would like to have a bbq for tea but I've never done one before and not sure if I've got the right things. Well I've got the bbq and coal stuff but not got the things that make it burn better.... can you tell it'd be my first bbq? lol
College today. Been off for the last couple of weeks, some personal problem with the tutor.
Not really bought much this week, need to buy skimmed milk today and some juice. ds' birthday on Monday so trying not to spend because of that.
Welcome back Lynsey, glad you enjoyed your holiday. Hope you didn't spend too much.
Cleggie, not had a fish pie since I lived at mam's. Well, not one home made anyway lol. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Lipstick, i recommend jamie olivers one, its sooo yummy, although i tweak it a bit by having frozen veg instead of fresh, and sweet potato instead of white (more filling).x.0

cleggie - I always fancy fish pie but whenever I make it I always think it is vile! Maybe I will try the Jamie Oliver recipe and see if it's nice. The Hairy Bikers made one which looked nice too...
Made some chocolate muffins last night and chopped a Snickers bar into them as I found it at the bottom of the cupboard. They turned out really nicely!! Had one for Breakfast with a cup of coffee and have just had a bacon and cheese toastie for lunch. dinner tonight is meatballs and spaghetti for kids and hm lentil soup for me. All from freezer/cupboards. NSD today but enforced as I am once again awaiting a fee payment!!
Lynsey - hope you had a good holiday!
My hoover has broken again so money will be tight next month too as I need to get a new one.Jane
