    Evening all

Forgot to mention.... 6 MORE SLEEPS!!!

Gary, welcome to the thread. :)

Hows the not spending going BE?

Better than I expected actually, popped to Mr M's, was rubbish for reductions so just got milk and some fruit only spent £5 so very happy, usually I would spend £30+ even if I didn't need it.

You'll have a fab time at Disney, I took dd for her bday oct 2010 and it was amazing!! We stayed in the Disneyland hotel, VERY expensive but sooo worth every penny just to hear her say she was a princess staying in a castle and the look on her face was priceless!! We went for 4days and although it was freezing we loved every minute, it really is as magical as they say!

OH lived in Florida for 6 months when in Armed Forces and he did all that. If anyone reading this thread is Armed Forces/veteran they evidently treat you really well at all the parks.

My sis was in Mr M's late last week and she got punnets of fruit, like raspberries for 9p! I've never seen reductions like that there, or anywhere else for that matter. Guess I don't go at the right time.

I can imagine that hotel is fab, I'm staying at Santa Fe, I wasn't looking forward to it much but found out that they've just done it up in the Cars theme, and it looks really neat. I was thinking I'm glad ds isn't a girl, I bet I'd be wanting to spend a lot more with the princesses thing if he was lol. Least I only have Woody, Buzz and captain Jack Sparrow to focus on lol. I was getting a little teary watching an ad the other day, how pathetic of me! lol

I'll make sure ds puts on his army outfit if we go lol. We're just going to the Paris one... they say Disney does everything right.. well they haven't, they put the park in France! I mean French, who bothers with that language (barring the French)??? lol

i havent been on this thread for so long. my spendings been rediculous, and theres so much food here. i cant even fit most of it in the cupboard :(
im already limited for cupboard space, but theres so much food here its rediculous.

so im gonna start using things out of the cupboard again. quite a few of my meals i have planned this week will be from the cupboards.
save some money and make some space whilst im at it :)

hoping to start the grocery shopping challenge next month also :)

all the disney hotels are fab and very special!!

DD is very jammy and will talk 2 anyone, even at the age of 4 when we went, she got chatting to sleeping beauty's 'servent' telling him it was her bday and how much she loved her. She's just got one of those faces and before I knew it we were on stage with Sleeping beauty and her prince!! It was like getting into a real palace the amount of ropes and staff we had to go through first lol, it made the holiday very special though and dd loved it. She got to have a 'proper' chat with the prince and princess and real posed photos lol although the looks from everybody else could have killed me in an instant!!

She also managed to get Ariel's attention in the middle of a parade by screaming at the top of her voice over god knows how many people, Ariel just couldn't stop laughing that she had shouted so loud and she came over for a photo before running back to where she should have been!! Funny memories and cannot believe she was only 4 when we went!!

Lip_Stick - didn't realise you were going away, you kept that quiet. :D
I wonder if Mickey and Minnie have picked up the French accent. ;)

    NSD - that's 4 no spend days in a single week. :j

We had the most bizarre experience ever today, so bizarre it seems untrue, but it was true and so weird!!

Picked up the hand mixer from Curry's and paid by card, ok so far. Checked receipt and NO £10 voucher as promoted, so queried this with another assistant. She asked original assistant to check till for voucher as it should have been a till spit?? Nothing found, so we were passed on to someone else who was told to give us a voucher credit. Problem being the mixer was only £5.99 and the £10 credit was greater. To get around this, they issued a delivery charge credit (don't ask) and actually handed us back a £10 refund receipt complete with a £10 note!!!!! We just laughed and the girl said, "Don't worry about it" - needless to say we won't!! lol
We walked out of that shop with a mixer AND a £10 note and only paid £5.99 by card - absolute madness.
Off to order another one. :rotfl:

Welcome gary_79 - another recruit, hope you find a lot of benefit and save lots of pennies.

Awww BE, your lo sounds lovely, and it sounds like you both had a wonderful time. So cute! Ds is 4, but was a late talker as he has trouble with his hearing but he seems to be making up for it now. He's also a little shy unless it involves girls.. then he's right in there cuddling them! Hope he enjoys himself and makes the most of the character meals.

He was very naughty this evening so I phoned Mickey Mouse and told him we might not be having the meal with him after all. :( Ds told me that I was 'only joking' and I didn't think he'd believe me, as I was trying hard not to laugh, but he cried his eyes out! I felt so mean but didn't want to backtrack so I'll make it up to him lol.

Lynsey - that mixer sounds a fab deal, I want one! lol and YES, I'm going to Disney.. can't believe I haven't mentioned it, weird!!!

    Morning all.

Got a half packet of bacon to use up, so bacon sandwiches for breakfast.
I'm thinking of making calzones today if I get some ham and mushrooms, I might pop into Morries for some chantenay carrots and pick up some ham and 3 or 4 mushrooms. Hopefully a nice piece of ham from the offcuts.
Going to Lid later and if they have any pork loin chops left I'll get 1 pack, but not too bothered if I miss them.
Cheap crisps hopefully today from either B&M's or Home Bargains, not a crisp in the house and would have loved some last night!!

Lip_Stick - how long does it take by bus to get to Euro Disney??.....and nice little Aldi win, you do OK with winning things - well done and good luck.

Morning all... really must sort some breakfast out but ds is moaning he has a bad tummy. Not sure if he really has though. Not got a clue what we'll be having for meals today. May be eating at the folks today if we go down to theirs, hope so as it'll save me faffing lol.

Lynsey - bacon sandwiches sounds good. I can almost smell 'um! *sigh*. We'll be setting off from here (East Yorkshire) at 8am and getting to the hotel at 9:30pm local time I believe. 12.5 hrs!

Haven't won anything decent for ages (see my siggy), but then again I haven't been doing comps much either. Will get back to um in a couple of weeks.

I'll not moan about my 3 hrs'ish flight then!!
Probably never mentioned I'm going away in 17 days time. :D 16 days from tomorrow. lol
We normally time the airport around 1hr before flight now as we hate the waiting around - we'll get caught one day!!
Easyjet winter flights should be out in a few weeks and thinking of New Year abroad, possibly the Algarve again as accommodation is so cheap as is car hire.

I'll have to try comping, maybe start in April. I would love to win just 1 decent thing, but not lucky at winning things..............

    .....................couponing is another matter. ;)

See the Curry's hand mixer "glitch" has been corrected/ended - got one just in time - may just use it .......................one day!!
