Having Heinz Scotch Broth for dinner.... don't know why I buy it as I'm not that keen really.

My Groupon credit has arrived, almost missed it.. Lynsey check your emails. ;)

I use the organic ones and they are so rarely on offer I bought LOADS must have been in 2010 in cases of them, not just boxes, was looking at them the other day, still a huge pile stashed under the kitchen sink still and beginning to think I hope I don't hit the menopause early before I use them all!

Lets hope your kitchen sink doesn't have a leak, you might not be able to get into the kitchen! :D
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

I've just ordered a Graze box with mine. Few quid left over so will see if a meal deal comes through, still got an Indian to use up tho. There was a cheap meal deal on LS the other day, but I've heard bad things about them if a business won't honour the voucher.

LOL, made me laugh, hadn't thought of that! :rotfl:
Imagine all that wasted money too if that did happen!

Finally cooking the last of the swede tonight to get that out of the fridge at last!

Thanks for the heads up on the 50p veg, Lynsey, I must have walked straight past it yesterday! I did have a look round today but didn't buy anything this time till I've used what I've got plus still hoping to get to the farm shops later this week if the weather improves. They were out of dill which is what I went in there for..

Managed to lose my new gloves while I was out so bit annoyed now and I didn't manage to get anything I wanted either! Went to the library for a map, it was out of stock... wanted some more pumpkin and sunflower seeds but the prices in the Julian Graves shop were more expensive than the website so I left it, then the woman in the PO wanted to overcharge me so I left that too and then had to go shopping with a postal tube.. and then somehow on the way back from there I managed to lose my gloves so then had to go all the way back but couldn't find them :( Might have to see if they have them in the M&S outlet as they were a Christmas line and I still have the matching scarf now.. What a frustrating afternoon!

Tea tonight was quite nice, ds loved the baby sweetcorn and nicked one of mine as well as eating his own. I planned to cook enough rice for tea tomorrow, having fried rice but didn't do enough. May cook some in the morning.

Hoping not to spend anything tomorrow as won't be going out, but mam and dad are picking ds up from school to take him for dinner at Morrisons. Told them to pick up some Chop sauce for me if they have it. Couldn't find Chop anywhere then spotted in in there so bought 3 bottles lol. Over a year since I bought it so hoping it's still on sale!

Lynsey - I only had til the end of this evening to add the credit to my account.

Kirri - sounds like a horrendous afternoon! Bet you couldn't wait to get your feet up.

Homemade lasagne tonight using up cherry toms and spinach as well as mince from the freezer and adding lots of extra fresh veg. Tastes lovely! Loads of it left so kids may well be having it again tomorrow.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Trying to summon up energy to go pan-fry Scottish salmon fillet from Morrisons that is now defrosted. Feel like being really naughty and having small amount basmati rice as had no carbs all day, not even milk. The salmon fillet was on offer, got a thin but huge fillet, size of a decent steak, for 2.34

    NSD - 3 in a row. :j

Could possibly get away with another NSD tomorrow, but I'm itching to spend!
Not much needed and could adapt a few meals to suit - hubby has curry to finish - he has already stank the kitchen today, may as well get it over with tomorrow. :D

Lip_Stick - I don't think they take it to the day (Groupon), I've added after about a week sometimes. Hoping for something nice in the next few days.

Kirri - what are you like?? I remember your recipe for tea loaf now, have to hunt it out, thanks.

I might have a packet of fishfingers tomorrow to get rid of them, only bought because of coupons - took everything I could last year.................and almost everything this year!

I found a jar of Branston from Xmas and still have a Xmas pudding to use.
