^ Lynsey, with the way you've managed to shop though, you may find you can continue to spend as low all year and have money leftover from the budget, or are you using up more of your stocks than you are currently managing to buy in at low price?

I know what you mean Kirri, I have thought about my spending and had some great bargains and my £150 spent has given me well over £150 worth of stuff, I would imagine well over double if not treble the full cost.
Freezers are still bulging (about 1/2 drawer worth of space), though quite a lot of cheaper stuff like bread, pies and sausages etc. Still well balanced though with chicken now, beef, pork and a little lamb. Fish is well stocked and I still have 5 joints. Plenty of veg, though don't use that much (mainly peas and sweetcorn and onion rings).
Loads of pasta and rice still stocked and loads of pasta sauces and tins of tomatoes.

I will need to buy coffee soon (3 jars+ left) and things from the deli counter can be expensive and I'm trying to delay that.

£30 - £35 per week gives massive flexibility with what I already have, though I will still target Lidl weekend half-price offers and Aldi Super 6 especially for the veg. If more food coupons come along instead of household cleaning and toiletry stuff, then that would help, but these last few weeks I actually feel fully in control - though there are things I would like to buy, but totally avoid.
We were just talking yesterday about stuff we haven't really bought this year, things like packs of Mars bars and chunky Kitkats, sometimes I would love to go and chop up a Mars bar and have with some ice cream. lol
I think I've been a little obsessive in keeping my spending down and will ease the "shackles" off slightly from April.

I'm still doing ok with this. Will have to add my totals up soon but seem to be doing well.

This evening I was craving some pudding. I had some lemons in the fridge so had a search on the internet and came across this.

Very nice, quick, cheap and easy to make in 10 mins. :D

Ooh you naughty person you, that looks fab :T

Not been that well this weekend so haven't had any inclination to go to the shops! Today & yesterday had mini pizzas using whoopsied muffins with a bit of tom puree, olive oil & cheese bunged in the oven. Not terribly healthy but craving comfort food and anything quick & easy ...oh and cheap!

Got some lovely looking organic whoopsied chicken drumsticks in the freezer so got them out to defrost for tomorrow. Will have with chips also from the freezer & a salad.

Nice surprise and couldn't have been from a better source. lol

Cheese on toast for breakfast, took some sausages out for later and not too sure about tonight.
Taking brother to Tesco this morning, so will use most of remaining coupons on Lenor (freebie).
Hoping no food/drink spend today and possibly tomorrow, at least from Sainsbury's - not going in there until Wednesday night.
I've got half a small swede, 1 large potato and loads of onions plus frozen peas and sweetcorn - so need to get some cheap potatoes and carrots very soon.

Well done on getting that back Bramble, it took me 18 months and multiple phone calls to get just a small amount back the other year, they were the most frustrating and disorganised people to deal with.

Milkman has just been, got free cheese with this order, soya milk on offer, yoghurts on offer and a pint of OJ just because I fancied it, great service and all before I would normally have even been to the shops! As I got up and dressed early again, I put the bread on at 7am, almost ready to shape now. Going to take some of the dreaded soup out of the freezer for lunch, then pop to Morrisons and see if they have any Quorn offers to go with the last of the swede for dinner.

Beachie - wish I had a microwave, that looks lovely!

Actually making some space in the freezer now, which is good but makes me feel a little uneasy. Silly, isn't it. :p

Running rich of my targets but have been upping the stocks of cleaning and laundry products due to coupons & offers colliding nicely. (thanks for heads up on coupons Lynsey. I'm addicted, as is DH!)

Oh on that note Lynsey, is the Lenor offer finishing today then? Must nip in tonight for another couple of bottles if thats so.

Only got one pack of chicken from Lidls weekend offer, was late getting there and all but cleaned out. :(

Off for scrambled eggs on toast. Will be JPot and tuna with salad for lunch and chicken and salad for tea. All sorted. ;)

A lot of offers ended yesterday, but I'm going for the small 500ml Lenor which is £1...............so free (4 coupons left, got 4 the other day). Got far too much of the 40 wash Summer Breeze (cost 68p each with coupon).
Got loads of Oral B toothpaste, 24p each with coupon!
Got quite a few wipes also for free and 14p per pack.
Fairy Liquid to last for ages and some Flash cleaners and sprays.....for free.

Still got some Sainsbury's coupons left, but more expensive there and unless the prices drop, the coupons will not get used.

The Loreal £2 coupon ends today and Asda have stuff at £2.........so again free.

EDIT: actually, Tesco offers may end today, thought it was Sunday, but maybe 5th?? The Lenor £1.68 ended yesterday (4th). lol

Morning all. Hope everyone is raring to go for the week ahead. :D

Just had a cold brisk walk doing the school run.. brrrrr. Looked a lot nicer out the window than it felt outside. Windy and freezing!

Had a NSD yesterday and today will be a NSD too as I'm not taking my purse. Pay day tomorrow but won't be getting much at all this week. For my trip I need to get my hair highlighted and may get my nails done depending on cash.

Didn't have breakfast, dinner will be a tin of soup and tea will be tomato and mozzarella quiche with beans, may do wedges with it.

beachie - that lemon pudding looks amazingly easy... and delicious.

Lysney.... you're going to Tesco and planning a NSD? Hmmmmm :D

Bramble - well done on getting something out of the taxman! :T

Kirri - my breadmaker has two compartments, are most like that?

tracey - thankfully not being charged! phew!
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
