Liverpool st check out whoopsies, I'm budgeting £10 of my gc budget to tomorrow's little outing, should be able to get some good stuff as i will be in Quite a few areas,
Made a huge pot of minestrone yesterday using leftover veggies, it's been portioned up and frozen for future use.
NSD today - drove back to my parents to house-sit for the next fortnight. Will be up and down occasionally for meetings but largely wfh which I guess will mean a lot more daytime posts on MSE. I brought a load of food with me, all of it healthy and none that I really fancy. Went out yesterday eve with a friend I hadn't seen since October - I was well aware that I have gained a stone since giving up veganism and the gym
, and she told me to lose it! So no dinner yesterday, no dinner today either which is just as well as I was planning on going out for a curry this eve. So I have saved on the travel, cost of the meal and calories but am at a loose end. Am just watching Flog It! on BBC2 atm from my home town, in my home town....I can't believe the junk people collect! It's bringing back memories though, I used to work with the auctioneers' mum, who was a lovely lady.

I've decided no more "bargain hunting" tonight, so just done my "accounts" and total spend for the week was £22.56.
Second highest spend of the year and highest daily spend of the year so far was today (£13.11).
£150.39 spent in 9 weeks, just under £17 per week average and increasing slightly, but still well on track.
Not much needed next week apart from veg and some fruit and milk later in the week.
Tactics for the next 3 weeks is to limit Sainsbury's to just 3 days max per week, nothing really needed for freezer and hoping just to pick up some cheap fruit and veg.
I'm craving to go to Morries deli counter to buy some nice ham, but trying to wait until next quarter - though will get some ham to make sandwiches for plane (3 weeks on Tuesday).
Edit: messed up "accounts" lol, and now correct - good job I write them down in a book!!

Evening all
If anyone wants to buy a four year old, I've one going spare at a great discount. I'll even put a yellow sticker on him! How can you resist?
Went into town today as Mam wanted to buy ds an outfit for his trip to disney. Ds was a bleeding nightmare! Think it's cos he had a late night, but it was as if he'd drank a ton of energy drinks. I may be going to disney on my own! He got some nice things from Next, nothing much in Debenhams at the moment that I liked. Got him some twisted skinny chinos, he's going to look all grown up in those.
Bought some booze as ds is at the folks, and I need a drink after today. Also bought milk but that's all. No idea what I'm having for tea, may have takeaway as I've a tenner in my purse. Had soup for dinner. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

Stick him on ebay, but wait until next week as there will probably be a free listing weekend.
Sorry, just kidding.
He may just be having girl troubles, being a "Ladies Man"........bless him.
I'll take him to Euro Disney if you want, save you the hassle. :rotfl:

Has anyone got a tried and tested great pizza dough recipe to try in my bread-maker??
Loved the dough today with the Wrights bread mix, but want to make from scratch.
Preferably an oil based dough and just enough for 2 pizzas if possible - how much flour would you use?? I'm thinking of 300g'ish??

lolol.. he's lucky I don't put him on freecycle! He's with his dad tomorrow so at least I have time to recover.... hmm maybe I should ring mam and tell her to let ds have another late night.
I'll let you take him to disney, but only if you take him on the tower of terror, he is tall enough! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. This is the one I use, from my bm booklet, this makes 2 x 12" pizzas and has always come out fine, quite a nice dough to handle using just strong white bread flour:
250ml water
1 tbsp olive oil
450g flour
1.5 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp yeast
BUT
mostly I don't use the bm book, I use a different one with more basic ingredients, so this is next on the list to try (as the other recipes in this book have come out well):
250ml water
2 tbsp olive oil
450g flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp yeast
Am waiting for a free delivery slot from Ocado to try it though as I need some supplies!! All they keep offering is 20% off £60 spend
Am quite excited as I have another small delivery from the milkman Monday though, wish they did more veg as it would save me going out at all!0 -
Morning all.
Kirri - thanks, more flour than expected. The Wrights bread mix was 500g, so was expecting around 2/3 of that.
I loved the elasticity of the dough yesterday though.
I'll get some flour during the week, trying to stay away from shops today!! Got to take my brother shopping tomorrow, maybe get some then or wait until I go back to Lidl later in the week.
I'll have to start experimenting with different doughs now...................reduce all those yeast sachets!! Still got a small tin of dried yeast to get rid of, need to check the date on that though!!
Bacon sandwich for breakfast, soup for later as I'll be away until after 3pm and not too sure about tonight, maybe a burger and onions in one of yesterday buns.
Lip_Stick - sorry, I don't do rides..................even those giant teacup rides make me sick..............100% watcher. lol
I wouldn't mind giving Mickey a hug though.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Today will be a nsd as off to the folks for dinner. Won't have anything for breakfast. I've half my takeaway left from last night so that'll be tea. Didn't eat or drink much last night, was too tired I think after the day I had.
Going to meal plan this week and part next. Definitely won't be buying anything other than fruit/veg to go with meals that I've planned. I'm going to try using the slow cooker with some meat from the freezer, probably lamb shoulder and make a Moroccan lamb type of dish.
I've a tin of prunes. Anyone know if they'd be ok to put into the slow cooker, rather than buying dried?
Will try and get ds to have school meals too. Will save a fair bit and won't be encourage to buy those little extras for his pack up.
Lynsey... might have to have a go with my breadmaker this week to save cash. Thing is my ex left it and there's no instructions so not very confident with it. Also don't have the measuring cup. I've used it once with success but that was with a breadmix. Scared about using it with a recipe I have to add yeast to lol. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson.
