I'm eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge

Morning.
My hubby would also like to grow more veg and possibly some fruit now he's got more time, I'm not too sure as I prefer plants and flowers really. Maybe we'll clear a little area for next year and start then but probably some stuff in tubs this year like spring onions etc. Garlic is thriving outside and tomato plants on the windowsill are doing fantastic and starting to thicken out. Got 6 more tomato plants just getting their true leaves, so tomatoes staggered and prolonged a bit. I'll give 8 plants away to neighbours...................if they want them!!
Kirri - well impressed with your commitment though, must take a lot of effort? I'm more thinking of a 10' x 6' "allotment"!!
Out for a freebie lunch courtesy of brother later at Toby and maybe a stir fry later on.
Porridge for breakfast, not had any for a while.
Need to sort freezers just in case my Lidl offer is diced chicken breasts, space needed then.
I think I've got a pack of turkey mince hiding somewhere, so if I have and can find it, I'll make a spag bol for tomorrow.

Lynsey, it is a lot of work, not just the digging and growing bit but also the picking and weeding which takes hours in summer and hard to find time when I'm normally working in the week but it saves £'s and it's chemical free and I hate being indoors so it's a bonus to be outside down there for me. I grow cutting flowers among the veg too. Mine is 60' by 45'! I would rather have a garden I could use though as it would be a lot easier to pick when needed!
RS - could you rent an allotment if your garden is small? They are so cheap. It was the only way I was going to afford any 'land' in London! (Btw I have a major spider phobia!).
Today:
Thought pancakes were a bit much for breakfast, so had the usual hm toast and marmite.
Lunch will be the rest of the pancake batter. Am looking forward to it.
Dinner - toss up between the cold hm pasty and the hm passata, both have been in the fridge since the weekend.0 -
Kirri, how much per year do you pay for your allotment in London??
Thought they'd want to put flats on those allotments down there!!!
I love my garden, medium sized now since we built the extension - approx 150 sq yards.
Pancakes - too late now, but still time for your leftover batter Kirri, but heard on radio yesterday about adding some Baileys to make "adult" pancakes!!
Found my turkey mince and dated 27th Aug and reduced to 79p!!!
Hope it's 27th Aug 2011 and not earlier.

Morning all
Haven't been very well lately with stomach probs. Went to mam's yesterday with ds, had a walk around a nature reserve which was nice. Had chilli for tea followed by pancakes then felt absolutely awful afterwards. Mam ended up having ds for the night. I'll be making a docs appointment tomorrow as I've had this a week and it's getting worse.
Feeling a bit better this morning but not had anything to eat yet. Will have to watch what I do eat. Had a NSD yesterday, was planning on going to franky and bennies but didn't want to waste money if I felt ill. Glad I never now.
Heading into town later to buy a new top. Supposed to be going out on Saturday if all is well. Will head into tesco and use some of the coupons I've printed out.
I'll be making sausage and apple plait when I get home as need to use stuff up. Will have the rest of my parsnip soup for dinner before I head out. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Lynsey - just had this when printing coupons on the savvy facebook page.
Print limit reached
We are sorry, you have printed the maximum number of coupons available to you.
If you have tried to print but have not been successful, we apologise for the inconvenience.
Is this for the one day or is that it completely for me?There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
I'm not too sure Lip_Stick, initially you could print off 2 coupons per coupon earned by using the "back" glitch, but yesterday it changed to just 1.
Maybe they are just sorting any issues??
Never had "print limit reached", but all mine are printed now.
Looks like a few others having issues according to their "wall", so maybe all will be sorted??
I would imagine an offer/promotion of this type would have been well hammered and abused - too good to be true really.
Hope you get to print what you earned, but more importantly, get well soon.

hmmm hopefully I can print some more tomorrow, will give it a try then.
Thanks for wishing me well too, just hoping it's gone by the time I go on holiday! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. Just a thought Lip_Stick, but can you access another pc??
Might be a limit set on each pc rather than on Facebook account??
SafeCoupons work like that, they "remember" your pc.
If you can access another pc, give it a go.
BTW, how many coupons/rewards did you earn??
Maybe a problem if over 30??
I forgot you're going on holiday.

Can't access another pc. Only got a tablet and I doubt I'd get that to work with my printer. I'll try with another fb account tho.
I printed off 4 yesterday, 4 today, it was on the 5th today that it told me to sod off. So didn't get many at all. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson.
