Get that printer sorted, loads of coupons available at the minute. Just spent another hour printing!!
Just checked my Fairy Liquid and 13 so far (some off last time) and 5 Persil washing up liquid (all free) - loads more Fairy to get from Tesco tomorrow!!
The Lenor (40 wash) is only £1.68 in Tesco, so 68p when using coupons, I prefer that to Comfort - stock up on that (Lenor) as well.

    Anyone had their pancakes yet??
    Having mine at 1pm.

Right cant bare it anymore buying new printer this week.

whats the fairy deal and where? sainsburys?

love watching extreme coupons on discovery but was unsure if could ever be done here.

do supermarkets take black and white or does have to be colour?

those £5 off 40quid be tricky for me as rarly would spend £40 consistantly and offers tend to be fornightly in big 4.

popped into spar on way home got another pack of 4pk reduced kievs 5 left wondering if should send hubby in and snapem up as that be 2meals per pack for kids.

I also did the large Greek white beans from here, they were successful too, very, I have pots of them dried.

Borlotti is my favourite bean though in this form, they are great to grow if you've not tried them, lovely coloured pods and no real work as you just leave them to right the end of the season and pick when the pods just start to turn from fresh to dried and the beans are pink/purple and can eat them fresh, or freeze or dry them, very tasty. Would definitely recommend Borlotti for growing yourself. I have a stash of dried and frozen I will be turning into burgers.. good in pasta sauce too.

Or broad beans minced with onion in a dip, the best thing ever - they can be planted now/soon/over winter too.

Fantastic, thanks for the tips/advice Kirri, I'm adding them to my list of seeds to get hold of ready for sowing :-)
  • Lynsey, what were we saying last week about the coupons being a bit light on the ground recently :rotfl: My printer needs a holiday it's shattered after the last few days!

Gailey, have a look about for printer deals on amazon/play.com .. I got my current one from a grabbit post before Christmas, it's an Epson printer / photocopier in one and it came with a full set of full sized Epson inks and it was only £23 delivered! the inks on their own are £30+ for a set if you buy the original Epson ones! BUT compatible ink cartridges are available for 10 for £10 from eBay, it's been a fantastic buy, paid for itself in coupon printing within about a week!

Quiet day today, kids a bit under the weather. Pancakes with blueberries for breakfast for the boys, lunch was curry & rice and dinner is roasted vegetable lasagna with a herb salad. I'm just having a salad with some feta and olives. Off to T's later for a spot of bargain hunting and coupon spending :-) :D

Ah ok, thank you! They must have a lot of coupons though!

I only got a few bits the other week, gave over £3 LV's and a coupon and the cashier looked at me like dirt as I only had a couple of £ to pay, that was bad enough!

I think I would end up buying far more than I need though if I did that couponing thing all the time!

Yeah same here on the couponing, just haven't got the space to stock but at least it stops me just getting stuff for the sake of it!

I had a free bag of walkers crisps voucher & the checkout lady had trouble putting it through but was lovely about it. Nicest experience of staff I've had at that Tesco, they can be downright rude sometimes!

Not light on the ground at the minute though!!
If this could happen once per year, what a dream that would be.
Some great quality products and multiple coupons - what a fantastic promotion.

Gailey - the best Fairy deal is at Tesco, they have some at £1, so free with coupons. Get the coupons in the "bank" and print at a later date.

Sainsburys would only accept 1 Fairy coupon tonight, depends on till op, so 1 more to get there.
Did spend 50p on a packet of Wiltshire ham and 19p on a pepper, so another 69p spent on food - total today = £1.19.
Had the ham tonight and it was lovely.

  • Absolutely Lynsey, my stash of cleaning/ laundry products is pretty impressive already, when all coupons are spent, I probably won't have to buy any more for the rest of the year, possibly longer, this makes me a very happy bunny!

Gailey, printer! I've had a quick scoot about the web and you can get the same printer as mine from as little as £19.99, thats a refurbished one on eBay though, Very have it for £29.99 it's an Epson stylus SX130. I'd def recommend it and it hasn't give me a days trouble (and I hammer the poor thing!)

Good bit of Tesco-ing tonight, two transactions, one for the Finest meal deal plus my free Cadburys bubbly bar which should give me a JTD voucher back for about £5 making it a very good deal indeed.. bottle of Nottage Hill Shiraz Cabernet, Luxury whole breast chicken kievs (which my kids love) Potato Dauphinoise & 2 berry topped puddings ... all for a fiver... yum! ( Even though only the wine is for me!) and a second transaction mainly of cleaning products, Ambi pur plug in thingy, toothpaste, washing up liquid and some lovely whoopsied 'Finest' baby vegetables and fresh herbs. All good!
  • Hey all, went shopping.g got 2 of the wrights bread mixes, I couldn't bear any more of the coupon talk without joining in ;) but most of the coupons require you to install the coupon price.term, I print from work, although I do have a printer at home, I need a new desktop before I hook it up, TOT everything else, will need it by the end of March really sad, went to get the sainsburys manager special which was 2 packs of stewing steak usually £6 reduced. To £2, I could really kick myself, was going to buy it yesterday but only popped I. For some cake to take to my friend house the netbook took 5 hours to fix didn't leave there house until 10pm and that's when sainsburys closes I will learn to buy it when I see it from now on, would have been freT freezer filler.

I've been away decluttering... also went through my files of recipes throwing out some I won't make and adding some new ones in I had sat in a pile. I look forward to the day when my huge stocks are gone and I can pick a recipe and buy just what I need!

Dinner - finished off the hm satay with tofu from freezer and last of the celery from the pet's food box and the last home grown pepper. Wasn't so bad second time round..

Tomorrow will be largely dictated by what needs to be used in the fridge, so looks like pancakes, hm passata pasta and a cold hm pasty.

My kitchen table is almost empty enough of food to be able to sit at :)

Need to go to Morrisons in the morning for pet veg. I might buy an aubergine to go in the pasta. Hope they are still on offer.
  • Finally got paid today :j( self employed so it comes in dribs and drabs) so paid off a lot of (overdue) bills and have managed to get myself almost straight.

Didn't buy any food today but will need a few bits tomorrow.

Had toast and porridge for breakfast, no lunch and then for tea DD2 had leftover lasagne from last night and I had leftover cauliflower cheese with broccolli and DD1 went out for tea. We all had pancakes which I made using storecupboard and fridge stuff - I ate two and felt sooooo sick afterwards - I made the fluffy american ones and raided my baking store and put chocolate chips, whole hazlenuts and fudge chunks into them and they were soooooo lovely - all the chocolate and fudge went squidgy.

Still have half a pie from last night to use up but don't know how I am going to "sell" it to the kids. I don't want it because I am a bit off beef at the moment. I am still pondering the veggie thing.

Got some lentil soup out of the freezer for lunch tomorrow and will probably make a loaf in the morning.

I bought some of the McCains jackets using the 50p off voucher, making them 50p a box (introductory price £1 in Sainsbobs at the moment) the other day and I heated one up for with my cauli cheese tonight and, I have to say, it was yummy - I would never buy them at full price as it is the ultimate in laziness and also they are not at all good vfm!!

I am jealous of those of you who grow stuff - I would LOVE to do this but my garden in small and I have a HUGE problem with slugs and snails (plus I have a phobia about them too). I saw all the fruit trees and plants in Aldi and would have loved to get them....

Freezer doesn't have all that much meat in it any more - I will probably try an internet meat order next week - will have a look around. I will also have a look for a good vegetarian cookbook for me!!
