  • Thanks all to the good luck wishes. I passed the telephone interview - hoorah - now I have to do a SHL test and if I pass that I get a one to one interview with the HR manager of my local branch...so much hassle for a part time job, but a fantastic part time job at that.

Everyone is ill! I hope you all get better soon.

I treated myself to nectarines and plums that were on offer in Sainsburys for passing my interview and the boyfriends pasta sauce has defrosted nicely in the fridge so I am just going to put that on now and fruit for dessert :)

Popped to wilkinsons for some cleaning stuff and found four little jars reduced to 50p :D was really chuffed. I love our massive wilkinsons, it is a trek to walk there (exercise I suppose!) but I got a rucksack and two carrier bags worth of stuff for £6 which is great in my books :)

Thanks guys, early night for me I think! FIL us hopefully allowed home tomorrow!

We nearly got a takeaway but decided to be sensible, and are having chicken, chips and beans out the freezer instead! Will have the other chicken thing tomorrow I think.

Cooking extra chicken for my lunch to go with my salad too.

Used up all the chips and took a loaf of bread out, the freezer has an empty shelf!!

Tube was up the creek so OH didn't have time to get offers in big Co-op before getting train. Nipped in local one and all the stuff on my list was sold out. So NSD today.

    Hi everyone

In agony at the mo after dropping a pile of cookery books on my foot. Damn ds had put something on the shelf and I didn't realise til I got to it. Cut and bruised a couple of toes. Hopefully they'll stop throbbing by morning!

Didn't bother with the fancy garlic bread thing for tea and I'm glad cos I'm full to the brim, saving it for tomorrow as I'm going to have a nice healthy Goan soup with it.

Not getting anything from shops tomorrow except maybe milk. Wednesday I'm staying in so hopefully the next couple of days will be virtually NSDs.

Lynsey - I think I might be a bit worried about travelling with ds to France. Well I'm more worried that I don't catch the coach in time for the return journey lol.

Kirri - yeah mine are waking me up, having about two strange episodes a night. I made those biscuits today. Love um!

    Littlewillow - well done!

Bramble - Hope you sleep well!

Edwardia - that book came today! There's some good stuff! Looking forward to trying it out.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

^ Ouch! If it swells up make sure it's not broken, I had a silly accident indoors and broke one of the small bones before. I've no idea what causes the dreams, sometimes I'm glad to wake up with what I've been dreaming..

The biscuit recipe is good isn't it, I like recipes that are easy and works well and that one did even down to making them into balls. I've got a huge amount of baking ingredients I need to use up so I ought to make something every week really... though probably will do a Moroccan snake cake next as the filo pastry is well out of date already.

It's a sweet one, with a ground almond paste with sugar/orange flower water/cinnamon rolled in filo - dread to think of the calorie content..
