bramble1 so sorry about your sad news, grandparents are so important, hope you find something to cheer you up :)

just as i was typing this i had to jump up and put the hovis loaf in, it only needs 7 mins and thats how long my food has until its cooked lol, in the oven i have curly fries, chicken strips and a salmon fishcake, missed breakfast, so i thought i'd have a big lunch, whilst getting stuff out the freezer.

For dinner i'm having carribean soup with homebake, cant wait all done in sc.

Debating what to make for dinner tomorrow, have a glut of sausages, but Am thinking of doing enchiladas, or something with the ham, did put 5 slices in freezer yesterday, along with 2 paellas and chunks of pumpkin, so once again space in freezer is minimal, will take a container of mince out of the freezer for new years day as i am partying on nye, so wont fancy cooking!

Well I've taken the braising steak out of the freezer for me to do a nice rich casserole with tomorrow for us to eat on New Year's Day - I always think they taste better when you've reheated them.

I'm having one of the portions of turkey and leek pie for my food tonight and need to have a shuffle round as I got some whoopsie hotdog rolls from Mr A when I popped in this morning.

There was laods reduced - pork joints, fish etc but I seriously have no room in the freezer...MUST GET THAT MEAL PLAN DONE....

Thanks guys. He was ill so it was not unexpected, but still sad.

I feel like we've enough in our stocks for 2 weeks ish. If we're sensible. So thats the plan. Need to do a meal plan.

Will see if OH wants gammon, egg and chips for dinner. I need to get the chicken out to defrost as am making curry for tomorrow night. The funeral is the 9th so will plan untill the 8th as it it's scotland so there will be travel either side of that

Freezer still coming down nicely...takes time as a 600ml litre of soup / curry for example provides me with 3 meals but I am getting there.

Was a bit distressed to discover that I had run out of goodies last night . Healthy eating starts here again as I'm going cold turkey on sugar.

  • Hello inspired by your post i thought i would go throough my freezer and see what i had ok here goes -
    8 chicken breasts
    8 chicken drumsticks
    8 lamb cutlets
    2 pork joints
    1 rump steak
    2 pork chops
    1 salmon wellington
    30 sausages
i shocked myself that how much was in there,(crazy) the thing is where i live we have a shop called "the company shop" you have to become a memberwhen you join you receive a card which you have to show every time you shop, but you have to work for certain companies to be able to join, you can only use it 3 times a week, but once you're in its like alladins cave because everything is half the price of the original price before everything is very close to its sell by date.lovely ,lovely food not the cheap stuff, waitrose, tescos finest, marks and spencer, the only problem is when you see something you have to buy it up quick because if you leave someone will have it,i must admit its like a rugby scrum some days,so you can see why i have so much i just keep putting in the freezer without checking so in jan i will also only buying bread and milk, and staying away from "company shop" though temping as it is lol.
