Here's mine frozen still in the tray
and ready to be bagged up
I'm planning to make some more either later today or tomorrow, so got some more pine nuts and fresh basil this afternoon (well, I bought a basil plant).
I also needed some chilli flakes, to turn some of the pesto into arrabiata pesto, and went to my new favourite Asian supermarket - 200g or 8oz of chilli flakes for 99 pence:) More than I'll probably ever use. So if anyone needs any, you know where to come :rotfl:
Decided to practise my pizza-based making today again, and I think I've finally found a foolproof and tasy recipe and method. Here's what I made, topped with HM pizza sauce, strong cheddar & Romano cheeses, a sprinkling of Mexican oregano, and drizzled with olive oil.
Had a couple of slices for (late) lunch, and will probably have the rest for tea later.'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Not much happening with reducing stock last couple of days - just a tin of salmon and later will be eating the last of the melon. Oh yes and filled the vinegar bottle up which finished off the large container full we had. Will get another one of these when see some as it lasts for ages and want to do some pickled onions in a couple of months or so.MARCH £62.38/2500

Nice to see the word Shibbon.
Not heard the word used in a long time.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Nice to see the word Shibbon.
Not heard the word used in a long time.
I was going to ask what it was, never heard of it?!
Today:
Nothing out of freezer...
Breakfast - muesli and yoghurt, banana & OJ
Lunch - beetroot cake, plum, apricot, nectarine
Dinner - veg fajitas again as I had enough tortillas from the batch made yesterday, plenty of free veg, loads of spices and enough salsa. Still got enough salsa for one more batch maybe tomorrow though means I have to make more tortillas...
Now I've mastered making the tortillas though I may do some cheese and bean quesadillas this week.
Also need to make bread tomorrow and possibly a cake.0 -
In to freezer - HM crumble.
Out of freezer - HM Carrot Cake Muffin + HM Quiche.
Dinner was chicken drumstick + stuffing ball + roast potatoes + roasted red/white onions + green pepper + tomatoes.
I cooked a crumble while the oven was on.
Dinner tomorrow - HM Shepherd's Pie - FF + veggies.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Just making this cake, someone on here posted the recipe before though I can't remember who now, but I've been meaning to make it for a while and just found it again this morning while filing recipes and I had oranges delivered in the org fruit bag last week.
Actually seemed very simple and quick - I cut the oranges into quarters before putting in the food processor and they were really easy to do. No flour in this cake, but I used up 6oz of semolina out the cupboardFantastic light consistency - not cooked yet so can't comment on taste!

I made that ^ while the bread was rising, as soon as the cake is out the 2 loaves of bread will go in the oven.
Breakfast - OJ plus muesli/yoghurt
Lunch - might just be cheese and hot bread.. or as I have 2 slices of the old loaf left I might do a toasted sarnie and salad. Will have cake after.
Dinner - not sure yet, will see what I fancy eating when I get back from the gym.0
