Ooh going to try this myself. Uses up a good amount of semolina plus I have some oranges past their best and I like cakes that are not too expensive to make ie only 2 eggs and 4oz of stuff is perfect.

Bit confused with the prep of the oranges though, recipes makes it look like you chuck the oranges in the processor whole but I'd have thought zest them then peel and process the inside?

Morning all. Rubbish day today. Bucketing it down.

Just had an early lunch of jacket pot with cottage cheese. Tea will have to be out as ds is getting a photo taken with his step-cousins, I think they are lol. Then it's beavers which he'll be officially invested into (if he remembers his promise, which I'm not too confident about lol).

Still need to make a rhubarb crumble, hope to do that this evening.

    Freezer movements are:
Out - 2 Moroccan style beef burgers, 1 jacket potato
    In - nothing!
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

For tea, HM pizza - mushroom, mozarella & rosemary, with the HM pizza sauce I'd made last weekend. Made enough dough for two, so put half in fridge for some time over the weekend. The dough prepping was a bit fraught (need to practise my dough-handling skills!) but the whole thing turned out alright in the end.

You can see I went for the 'rustic' look :)

Can I join in? I've got a huge amount of bills to pay this month so I need to use up the food I've got rather than spending money on more! I did a fresh aldi shop a few days ago and I won't be buying anything except milk for the next 8 days. Then i've got an aldi mystery shop for £4 which i'm hoping to use to top up for the rest of the month. (I'm very skint!) Tonight we are having chicken and corguette skewers with brown rice, lunch is JP with beans. I've made a ton of veg stew and soup for the freezer and i'm also trying to lose weight. Today I've got to buy eggs and milk but apart from that nothing. My aim is to buy 2 4pts of milk in the next week, those eggs and nothing else food related. Wish me luck. My grocery budget for the rest of the month is £44. X

Oh no!!!! One of my kiddiewinks is called JP!!!! Please don't eat him for lunch!!!! :rotfl:

(What is JP in your context btw?).......

    Evening all.

For the last 2 days I've had steak and a vegetarian stir fry all from the.freezer except oniins, the steak was quite big, the last if the Tesco free steak.

Went out to buy a hot chicken sandwich from ny neighbours shop, they only had beef, so went to Waitrose instead, managed to get 3 boxes of mini fillets for 4.57 also got some duchy muffins, so made my own sandwich instead, bagged 2 of the packs, will use again for lunch and dinner tomorrow and lunch on Sunday, they are so quick and easy to chuck in the George foreman i wish i had gotten more, I will look out for them.

Lamb from the freezer on sunday yummy! Not much else in or out, although my meat drawer is nearly half empty, I much prefer when It's full.

Thanks for the heads up Kirri, i won a box of all bran and also got my free Fruyo yogurt, it was delicious, but costs £1.09 for a small tub, I need a few more freebies lol.
