Everyone should ask for their KGB refund now.
There is no possible way Beauty Stop can get on top of this.
If KGB give refunds , BS have to cross ref even more emails , refunds , deliveries etc etc
Utter shambles. If I was KGB I would be taking legal action against Beauty Stop.0 -
They are removing msgs again on facebook. Reports of damaged products now being sent out. contact KGB if you have any problems0

Hi, I have just joined the forum after receiving a message on Facebook from someone pointing me towards this thread after complaining on Beauty Stop's Facebook page.
I placed my order almost 3 weeks ago, heard nothing, had no response to the 4 or 5 emails I sent chasing the order. I complained on their Facebook page on Friday, they responded on Saturday with a bit of a sob story about how there are only a few of them in the company, they've been overloaded with emails, etc and promising to reply to me that day. I heard nothing, and then this morning they replied saying that they had received no emails from me and hadn't got any order from me, and then they deleted my posts and blocked me from posting any more on their page. Lovely!
I emailed KGB last night and got a response within half an hour saying that they had refunded me. Here is what I sent them and their response (if anyone wants to steal my wording then please do!)
My email (sent through their contact us form):
I purchased this deal- £30 voucher for Beautystop.co.uk on 21st June, and after waiting 48hrs for it to be activated, went to place my order on 23rd June. There was a message on their website stating that they could not accept orders online due to techinical difficulties with the order, requesting customers to email their order details and voucher code instead. I thought that this seemed strange, but nevertheless I went ahead and placed my order via email anyway. I received an automated 'thanks for your email' response but have never received an order confirmation. I have since sent 4 emails asking where my order is, but have not received any reply. It is getting towards 3 weeks since I emailed my order and there is no sign of it so far. I have tried to contact Beauty Stop via their Facebook page and they have still not responded with anything. I feel this is extremely poor on their part, and makes KGB look bad in respect of the deals you offer to customers. I can not see a way that my order will be completed as they seem to refuse to communicate with customers- a search of online forums for money saving etc shows that I am not the only one in this situation either. I would therefore ask that my original payment to you of £10, made by PayPal be refunded as soon as possible.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Their response:
Greetings Jen,

I'm glad that I have my refund and all credit to KGB they were very swift in their response to me, but I'm still so angry that Beauty Stop are treating customers in this way, especially after they have invited all the custom, and are now acting like they have been hard done by despite the ridiculous hike in prices. Most of all lol, I'm really annoyed that I wont get my Essie nail polishes because I was really looking forward to them!
I really hope that anyone else in this situation can get their money back too.
Jen

I have received my benefit smokey eyes pack now, which is 1/2 of my order. The other half is actually a Helen E pencil sharpener that I threw in to get the full £30 worth of the voucher (although had to pay about £1.40 more).
This hasn't materialised yet and they haven't told me when it will come. To be honest, I don't really care about it but then I did pay extra money for a sharpener! Wonder if I should be cheeky and ask for a full refund from kgb?
I have bought other deals off kgb with no problems - can't blame kgb, must blame beautyshop for any issues.0 -
No reply to my emails either - order placed on 23rd June!!0

I was going to use the voucher but after reading everyone else's experiences I have asked KGBdeals for a full refund.0

i have placed my order on 14/07 hope it will arrive soon0

I only received half my order - a £9.95 fake bake tan (which was the wrong shade!) and still waiting for my other half. Kgb are still refusing to give me a refund until i return the product even though i would need to pay postage!
So fed up with this that i may just need to forget my tenner and learn that sometimes you can't win them all. Just so angry that this rubbish company has my money for nothing!0 -

I am actually very happy with my final product - i was going to buy my brother this aftershave anyway and this has saved me a lot of money. No its not a good company as they sent me no correspondence and I had to ring to chase my order, but on the whole, the saving I made was worth a phone call!!!! I am very thankful you found this!!!!!0 -
Hi KGB customers
We can understand your fustrations with the way that the deal with KGB £30 to spend for £10 voucher has been conducted. We would like to apologise for the troubles the customers have experiened, and would like to make customers aware of the real situation with regards to this, so please if you know someone who has bought one of these vouchers from KGB and is having trouble please do pass on this message. We will be posting it up on our facebook page as soon as possible.
When Beauty Stop were asked if they wished to go ahead with KGB deals we were informed that an average of 500-600 vouchers would be sold, and as most of you posting comments on this thread are aware, we actually sold over 3000. That is 5 times the amount we thought we would sell and had we have know as a small family business that this could or would happen then we would never had gotten involved in this deal in the first place.
That said, we agreed to go ahead with the deal, so we decided to do our best to fullfill the orders. We dutifully began dispatching the goods to customers as soon as possible. However, once we began to dispatch orders it became apparent that we would run out of stock of some of our products - this is when had no choice but to increase a small % of our prices. We realise that people are not happy about the price increases but they ARE genuine increases in our stock prices, and regardless of what other companies are selling these products for (such as CHEAP SMELLS that is a JERSEY BASED company that has been established for many years, most probably buys in massive bulk and is able to get a better price from the wholesaler) we did not increase all prices, and as we have already pointed out in various information pages and emails to customers we could have just increased our prices before the deal went live if we were 'out to rip customers off'
However, all of this about price increases and late deliveries is actually currently fruitless as the situation we are in is a very very problematic one.
The problem is that KGB actually take the £10.00 for the deal that they advertise to you guys. The business providing the products or services does not get paid for this for 14 days after the deal is finished, and this payment is only for 50% of the value of tickets sold minus KGB comission at 35%. It has actually now been 20 days since the deal finished and we at Beauty Stop have not been paid a penny by KGB. We have processed over 1800 orders to date and currently have a further 600 that we have received and have not yet processed in (full or part) without receiving A PENNY FROM KGB! We are in talks with them at the moment to try to resolve the situation, but are wrting this thread to try to communiate to customers a few points IN A BID TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND THE SITUATION FROM OUR POINT OF VIEW . . . .
1) We are a small family run business simply trying out a new way of getting customers to our site, but this has back fired on us as we have experienced far too many problems to see anyone of them ever revisiting, but are left with massive debts, bad press and no stock!
2) we were never going to make any money on this deal and were aware of this before the deal went ahead, and still after price rises do not make any money because we actually only receive £6.50 per £10.00 voucher sold - We urge any customer out there to tell me where they can buy perfume, aftershave, bed head, fake bake and other branded products such as Benefit from for £6.50 WHOLESALE and we'll happily shop there! So if a product has increased from 29.95 to £38.95 we still only receive £15.45 for the product and the particular product here is Armani Diamond 50ml which costs us £22.60+VAT trade! This is a £11.67 loss on this product alone. The previous price of this product when we purchased it back in October 2010 was actually 14.72 +VAT at 17.5%. At the old prices from the wholesaler including VAT we sold this at £29.95 and made £12.29 profit per item sold. At the new price we sell it £38.95 and make £11.83 profit - which is actually less profit than from the previous prices!
4) That said customers could remember they have only paid £10.00 not the value they see the product being retailed at elsewhere - we are receiving emails stating that customers have seen bed head products on sites that aren't even based in the UK for the same product for £17.50 etc but as a customer you are only paying £10.00 for this same product - a £7.50 saving than if you bought it on this site outside the UK!
3) we HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED A PENNY FROM THE £10.00 YOU SPENT WITH KGB and have had to fund the orders we have sent to date. We have worked hard as a business for the past two years and are now trading with virtually nothing and have spent over £20,000 to date on stock to fulfill these orders - we did not see the £££££ signs as some customers have suggested on this thread - we merely wanted to try to get some more customers for our business which is now completely ruined!
We hope that this has been a little more informative for customers visiting this thread, and that they can understand the situation we are in and that we will continue to try to get customers orders processed and delivered as soon as possible, but without any stock or payment from KGB this is becoming increasingly impossible.0
