hi, i said i would start this week so here i am (even though every part of me keeps saying just start tomorrow lol). this is what im planning on doing today- but i was just wondering if you could give me some advice- im not the worlds best cleaner so somethings im not sure how to clean or what to use- so do you think you could give me some tips and how to do things and what to use please?

Hey Claire! I wondered if you would join us today! :T Well done you!

Just use what you have - I currently have a cupboard full of cleaning stuff which I bought on whims/special offers so I am using up what I have. We dont all have a special product for everything, so just go with what you have got for now. Start by clearing off your kitchen work surfaces and putting everything where its supposed to be. Then youll be able to wipe down all the work surfaces, cupboards and appliances in one go.

Lots of people use stardrops, which diluted in a spray bottle can be used all over the house. If you dont have any of that, just use what youve got.

Be prepared, it might take you longer this week to clean eveyrthing down etc, as you might not have done it in a while, but next week its only a quick wipe! Stick with it!

Hi I'm going to rejoin here (I have been a sometime lurker!)

This week I'm going to aim to definitely do all level one tasks and if there are any level 2 and 3 jobs that get done along the way then that's a bonus!

As a bit of background, I'm aiming to get myself a bit more organised as i am just post getting married (3 weeks :D) The house is a cluttered mess (on top of the normal gibble that we have) We have piles of washing from the honeymoon (the rainy weather is conspiring against us!) and, unrelated to the fly-lady thread, my finances are a little muddled again and I managed to put back on all the weight I lost for the wedding on the honeymoon! So I am going to try really hard to re-organise myself!

Hmmm, I can't right now as I'm watching JK :o lol but as soon as he's done yelling at some chavs I shall have a 30 min run around in the kitchen and let you know what I've done...

I'm not very excited at looking at the bin... I don't think it's ever been cleaned :o Any ideas what to do to clean it out with minimal touching! And make it smell nice again!

    xx
