I think this is a possibility, yeah. I had a look into bruxism and it could be that. Hopefully if it is, it's an anxiety thing rather than a habit thing, cause I'm on the waiting list for CBT. :o and I am terrible at breaking habits!

Appt booked for midday. Bit of a trek too, but I'm hopefully going to get a lift there (but walk back).

I'm going to occupy myself this morning with doing my toots list :j

Glad you got an appointment. I have had bruxism since DS1 was a baby on and off. The dentist can make you a guard to wear at night to protect your teeth and relieve the pressure. With me the tooth which was hurting only met the lower tooth on one corner so all the pressure was being pushed through it. Good luck

    Frog eaten
An hour in the garden done (eating my frog made me do all the garden jobs I have been putting off).

Hairdresser due in a minute so I'll put the kettle on. Once she has gone I'll hoover and mop the floors.

Can i join please? I've lurked long enough and now it's time to stop procrastinating and start doing!

I feel guilty most of the time for not cleaning as much as I should, and it stops my enjoyment of other things.

We bought a new build house in April which was a lovely fresh start, but I can feel my old ways slipping back and I need some help fly people!
  • Welcome Danielle

I'm reasonably new here too so would recommend starting with the level ones. Don't beat yourself up about what you can't get around to - do what you can, feel good that you did those things and then move on to the next list/day/room. Small steps really do make a difference.

You will find lots of motivation and inspiration here so do keep posting to let us know how you're getting on.

    Thanks for the lists,

I'm in today, don't know how well I'll do this week so I'm going to grab last weeks complete list and get on with it today. The house doesn't appear to be too bad, but it does need cleaning. I'm going to get DD to help out when she gets home from school by cleaning the bedrooms (she loves doing this :rotfl:), but whats left of this morning & this afternoon I'm going to be tackling downstairs like a woman possessed as I'm working all week and if I don't shift myself today it'll get left again! :o

    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean fridge and see what needs using first
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!

Clear and tidy and sort a bookcase/shelves!
Clear and wipe the desk. do relevant filing/shredding etc

I also need to do the ironing, although there isn't much to do :D Will do that tonight.

Going to go and strip my bed so I can get the washing going. Going to be naughty and use the TD today despite it being sunny for 3 reasons: 1) the backdoor is currently sellotaped shut to stop the howling gale coming through the gaps, 2) the birds are having a fine time hunting and I don't want to disturb them as they have nestlings who should be fledging soon :D and 3) I want it all done and out the way today! :p

Will fly until 12 then stop until 12.30 for lunch. DD doesn't think I can get the whole house cleaned in a day...I plan to prove her wrong ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

LMAO @ you lot moaning about cleaning the bin.. that is why I know it needs doing because you hate doing it.

I put bleach in mine then loads of boiling water.. I hate doing it too but try to do it at east once a fornight.. it doesn't get that much chucked in it so isn't too bad.. the compost bin however is hideous!

Tesco, docs done and Moomins boots collected.

Chemist and food next on the cards.
