    Any way hugs to all particularly Carlsberggal xx and anyone I have missed xx

    LW it sounds like you're all under control now, I hate the build up to a holiday, its so stressful! - but so long as you've got your meds, your adaptations, your passport, travel insurance and your credit card you can get anything else you've forgotten out there. (I suspect you have a spreadsheet of items needed though;);)) The house only needs to be at a level where you don't think you'll get mice or ants while you're away. Everything else is a nice to have not a need to have - I've even bought knitting supplies on one trip as I don't like to go anywhere without a craft project:rotfl: Hope you have a lovely time!
    xx
    Thanks - yes, I do indeed have a spreadsheet!:rotfl: I created it when Mr LW and I first got together (2002), and I resurrect it every time we go away. I think it was Crafty mentioned weight of gadgets and chargers - it's not too much of an issue this time, as we're going by ferry; flying with a wheelchair looked like a hassle too much, especially with all the threatened strikes by various members of the air transport industry. *rolleyes*

    Personal list for today is:
    • Membership paperwork (voluntary) that arrived yesterday *rolleyes*
    • Email District Manager to let her know I'll be away
    • CAMRA paperwork - check for planning applications for pubs and get beer scores sheet up to date; send to Chairman and Pubs Officer with apologies for missing next Tuesday's meeting:cool:
    • Charge up gadgets (WIP)
    • Order meds ready to pick up when we return from holiday
    • Do backup of general use USB drive onto PC, then backup said PC (Mr LW has done his)
    • Check greenhouse is OK and leave watering can in there for "A"'s convenience;)
    • Top up bird feeders:o
    • Empty and wash out compost caddy:eek:
    • S&S bathroom; give loo a proper clean:eek::eek:
    • Drop house key in to "A" on way to Mensa meeting tonight
    I think that's the lot - "A" is going to call in a couple of times while we're away, check the greenhouse is OK, water the basil on the kitchen windowsill, pick up the post, style of thing.:A

    I have to attend the Mensa meeting tonight; we promised, and the Local Secretary is kind of counting on us, as attendance has been poor lately.

    Carlsberg best of luck with your interview today.
    If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Master bed done, only two days late.

    Just caught myself asking the dog what she thought about what the baby said ("goo")

    Gotta get out more!!!

    :mad::mad: Grrrr! :mad::mad:

    They turned up with the shed/summerhouse. Unfortunately, it was too large to go through the house, as it had been made up incorrectly!! When ordered, we said it had to go through the house - 'no problem' they said. DH had a big conversation about it, then the stupid man ticked the wrong box ('access through the house?' - no :mad:). I went a day or so later, and rectified the error (we had been told no rush, as we also needed to let them know what colour it needed staining) He said, ok not a problem , I will let the office know. Someone, somewhere didn't :( They need to take it back and cut it up or, more likely, make another one. they will call us to make another delivery date. DH has taken the day off, today was good, as I have no children here (only have Tuesdays & Thursdays free). Next thursday the school is closed, so potentially I could have 'devil child' all day :eek: so not convenient. AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!

    Sorry, rant over :o

    I have mopped the floor under the fridge (waiting for DH to move it back so I can do the rest of the floor - but he is waiting for confirmation that they are not coming back today!), and I have cleaned the bathroom. i have also managed to get in the Tesco Kids website and started my order :) i think I will have lunch now
