DH work building is very damaged so we are still crossing our fingers that he gets paid this month and still keeps his job.
DS1 has just announced that he can wait no longer and wants to shave for the first time this weekend. He also wants to change his exam options. We spent hours with him whilst he made his original choices.

What she said!
Nice to 'see' you, carlsberggal, and it sounds like you could do with a fair share of the above yourself! Hope things get better soon.
I thought I'd pop in after I was around at the weekend. Still relying on mobile broadband (talk talk promised a new router on Friday, but failed to put the order through, so it'll be this Friday at the earliest ). It's another busy week, but I'm coping much better now - eating the elephant one bite at a time without worrying how much is left.
On that note, nose back to grindstone. Take care, everyone. x0 -
Clothes now selected and thrown into case; I have opted for things that don't need careful folding.;)
Paperwork checked, double-checked, triple-checked and put with cases.
I still have to put in make-up and jewellery, but it's partially ready to go (need to actually put some of it on to travel:D) and the other things to pack are chargers for things like Nintendo DS, PDA, mobile phone, camera batteries and of course netbook; I shall make sure said items are charged up tomorrow, then sling the chargers in the case.
I think we're as ahead of ourselves as we can get at this point. Thanks for being so kind and patient with me, my friends.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good evening all!
I had an ok day. I managed to do some work paperwork this afternoon, while the kids were playing, and also a bit of dusting. After they had all gone home, I thoroughly hoovered downstairs, finished the dusting & put the DW on. When DH got home we ordered pizza. DS picked everything up from around the shed base, and swept it, ready for the delivery tomorrow
I have counted my vouchers - 1052 Tescos and 786 Sainsburys :j I will be able to order the messy tray (tuff spot) i wanted, and more besides :T (providing I can find the paperwork & figure out what i am supposed to do before the deadline)
I think, for now though, I may shower & go to bed
Carlsberggal - sorry to hear about your job. it sounds like you are well out of it! Good luck with the interview. Maybe these things happen for a reason
LW - take it easy, and I hope you have a lovely holiday
Tboo - Ihope you are ok
And last, but not least, Pigpen.... ewwww!! Please spare us the pictures!! That made me feel a bit yeurgh!I am glad you are happy with the result. Just make sure you don't get it infected now

Day 1 - stuck to the healthy eating - basically a Slimming World green day. Ex-OH and DS cleared DS's bedroom while i emptied kitchen drawers and took pictures down from stairs and landing walls...so that's a few steps nearer having the house clear for Monday. I think the garden shed must actually be a tardis!!!!
Got to wait up now to pick up DS from the pub at 11.30pm. He doesnt ask too often so I dont really mind....yawn!

carlsberggal - Good luck for the job interview. There has to be a better job than the one you lost
piggers -
LW - have a good holiday - it's all very well having these gadgets, but the chargers double the weight.
dancemum - fingers crossed for DH's job and pay0 -
Early kick out at work today :T due to no delivery, due to delivery driver self injury. Rather pleased as not feeling too well still and was having to croak my way through with no-one understanding a word I whispered!

Hospital Orthodontist at 10.30am for Minion. Hopefully they have decided what they are going to do by now and worked out that her jaw isn't likely to drop off and spin 180 degrees round her head if they start working on it.
She knows my thoughts too well. Her only lessons that she would be returning for, due to the mid morning appointment slot, would be PSHHHHEEEEEEEEEE (or whatever it's called this week) and RE. But she will be missing Art, much to her disgust, so wants to stay off school afterwards and get on with her art project. It also takes me 45 minutes to walk up the hill from the bus stop to get her into school - and none of them like going up there alone during the day when it's all quiet. (There were several attacks on children skivving off a few years ago).
I suspect I shall have her company for the whole day.
[makes plans for Minion's alternative employment during school hours, involving upstairs bathroom and a bottle of bleach]
But I could well be having a word with her PE teacher - apparently, one of the girls there has found her joint problems to be amusing and is taking the mickey out her, pretending to walk like a cripple or something. She hasn't noticed her scoliosis yet, but I am sure she will eventually. When she does, I can envisage the vile little beast doing the Quasimodo thing. I have suggested that Minion speaks to the teacher in private, so it can be nipped in the bud, but, judging by the size of Minion's biceps (playing drums and using the lightest in dumbells), and her mood where this girl is concerned, this could well come to blows in the end.
I shall wait and see what she says to the teacher before doing anything myself.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Awake again. Don't want to go to bed for fear of the whole rigmarole last night - getting sleep in 30 second bursts, in between waves of pain
8:45 hrs til my appointment, 9 hrs til I have one less tooth and 90% less grief! :j0
