Sadly you were served by one of the fraudulent staff I mentioned.
The Express stores rarely have a big blue sign up behind the tills but they do have little stickers beside the tills with the price promise on them. You need to point this out to member of staff.0 -

Hi mrsproudmum - that happened to me too, so I wrote to Tesco Customer Services and they confirmed every store should do a DTD on overcharges. They also added 100 points to my Clubcard - so it was worth complaining as it was only a 15p DTD in my case!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift - the present.0 -
Sorry if this has been posted before.
I bought two packs of sausage rolls yesterday that were priced as "2 for £2"
The cashier scanned one and put it through as two, which would've been okay, but then he scanned the second one too, at full price. Therefore he charged me for a pack I hadn't bought.
When I went to the CS for a refund she just gave me the money back for the extra pack. I asked if I should've got double the price back as she overcharged me the complete price of one pack and was told it's only if the item is priced wrong, not if they scan an extra one by mistake.
Is this right?
If I hadn't noticed the error they would've got away with it, but for that they don't get penalized??
Sorry if this shouldn't be on this board, I just realised this is just for listing price errors.I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

Tesco's Coventry Cross point end of aisle opposite the fish counter, fosters 15 pack for a tenner, going through at £13. Not worth the DTD as you can get it cheaper, but just proves that their price integrity is as poor as always. Oh for the days of R&R, I would have cleared their shelves...0

Not sure if this has already been posted, but the Solaro Tropical ice lollys are marked at half price 99p but going thru at 1.98.0

Does anyone know if the double the difference policy applies to when you have bought groceries online? Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but the Solero lolly half price thing in the above posting reminded me of something I had bought online which was supposed to be half price, but I got charged full price for it.0

Not worth trying to cross Sam Perm on Cross point CS who keeps you waiting for hours for Fosters. Stella maybe...Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

The DTD policy applies to instore only. You may be able to get a refund of the difference if you phone the online customer services.0 -
Tescos do a basic range of ladies vest tops in lots of colours for the summer, £3 each or stickered 'buy 2 for £5'.
I bought two yesterday to take advantage of the current 20% discount being offered off marked price of all clothes. The 20% came off, but the 2for£5 didn't. So two tops cost £6, minus £1.20 = £4.80. A visit to customer services gave me another £2 back, so 2 vest tops for £2.80!
Closer inspection of the receipt and swing tags shows that, although they were identical except for the colour , (one was grey, one natural beige) the items go through the till with different descriptions, one as basic 1x1 and one as ladies tshirt.0
