Guess what iron I'm using today after knocking my bargain morphy richards iron off the ironing board? (PS Morphy Richards was a bargain also found on here, and oh how I miss it but can't grumble really).

PS I miss the good old days and no I didn't abuse R&R like some.

Morphey Richards have another Bargain Iron http://www.morphyrichards.co.uk/SpecialOffers.aspxrs.

I bought 3 packs of Tesco Finest Sausages yesterday which were marked as 3 for £5, but the receipt says £6.87. So can I get double the difference back i.e. £1.87 x 2?

    Charged £14.46 for 6pks.. DTD of £8.28...

Not a brill deal but they'll get used..

Bought a Large Blue Hexagonal Gift Bag.. SEL.. £1.97 charged £2.50.. However the label did state Large Blue Square bag, but as no other label was on show or square patterned bags I was refunded £1.06.

I've not been successful in dtd on the toothpaste as per ampersands excellent post.. Due to the clauses in the leaflet.. 'Prices correct at time of going to press, Selected stores' etc etc, CS wont dtd ... But it hasnt stopped me from trying it numerous times then getting refunded & keeping the lovely points from the H&B.. The toothpaste is incorrectly priced in my stores anyway on discontinued sel's of £2.49 & £2.51.. & goes through @ £2.48 & £2.68.. So I just take my receipt & leave them all baffled..

Last shop today they didn't stock the toothpaste but spotted Brylcream £1.46 on sel 06/05/08.. Grabbed 4 & was charged £2.93 each (£11.72) refunded dtd £11.76.. So free gel & another £10 of deals..

    I Love Tescos :D

Yes its good one, which i reported on the HB thread on the 11th.....well done, its a good feeling

Further to a previous post, this is not so much a misprice as a mis sell by Tesco.

Becks Vier cases of 440ml cans are on a 3 for £18 offer. In some stores, the shelf barkers and SELs say Becks Vier 10 x 440ml cans, 3 for £18. However, other stores have shelf barkers that say Becks Vier 12 x 440ml cans, 3 for £18. In both cases the packs on the shelves are 10 x 440ml. Therefore if you see a shelf barker for 12 x 440ml cans, 3 for £18, you could reasonably argue that you picked up the packs assuming that they contained the number of cans advertised and then realised after you had paid that you had been sold short. I don't know how they would work out DTD though.

You're entitled to a refund only if you have paid for the item and then find you paid more than the indicated price.

All Tescos have a policy to give double the difference. There are signs displayed stating their price promise which includes dtd. The sign may be a large blue sign behind the Customer Service Desk/tills or may be a small sticky notice on the side of the tills.

There are a significant number of fraudulent staff who will try to defraud you of your correct refund so you do need to be firm and ask for what you are entitled to.

...........to which, for newbies, I add, ALWAYS ACCOMPANY C.S. back to item, blithely ignoring any 'You stay here, I'll just go and look' instruction.
I just chatter on as we walk to item in question, at most saying 'I'd better make sure it wasn't me!' or some such nonsense.
