The checkouts in my Tesco Extra have had a revamp and the DTD signs have gone from them - as well as the big one behind CS.

Sorry but there is no way we can open all the products up to make sure there is nothing wrong with them :/

Does not matter the responsibility lies with the retailer, try some light reading on consumer law.

TESCO CHILLI CON CARNE MEAL IN RESTERAUNT ADVERTISED AT £3.99 on counter display but charged £4.25 but they just tell you they had the wrong price displayed and it should have said more

Ithink it would have been more fair for them to give me at the advertised price and gave me back 26p rather than the ill will and losing a customer
Needing to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans
  • Kenco Really Rich / Really Smooth Instant Coffee Granules 100g. SEL £1.56, charged £2.46.

I got this in an Express store. I got the Really Rich, so this worked out at 66p per jar after the DTD refund. The Really Smooth goes through at £2.44 in Express stores, so will work out at 68p. I've since seen this misprice in other Express stores. In regular stores, the SEL to look out for is for £1.50 and they go though at £2.37 for Rich and £2.35 for Smooth.

A nice gammon joint (same as the free ones before xmas). £5 off sign still showing, should have been taken off 31/12. £10 dtd given.

Tesco cooked frozen seafood cocktail, large sign saying £1.79, charged £3.95

Tesco finest Swiss chocolate biscuit (tin - seasonal reduced section) selection charged £5.99

Can't remember what the reduced price was on the biscuits, but was given back a total of £19.96 on all 3 misprices :T

Another one I found on the receipt when I got home - Fairy Liquid Anti-bacterial washing up liquid - £1.22 each or 2 for £2 (big sign). Charged £1.22 each

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Well I failed today.

My £25 off the correct mobile did not come off, went to CS who called the manager to check about DTD. She was told no as it was a cashier error not a pricing error.

She made me so cross  , The sign does not state if cashier error then it does not apply. The manager would not budge. I stood for nearly half an hour standing my ground. But just got my £25 back.
  • Wotsits 12 pack ( £1.79 ) with 'HALF PRICE' signs on shelves alongside the current 3 for £3 offer. Charged £1.79, DTD given ( kept the product and £1.79 refunded ) at Tesco Chadderton ( Oldham ). Labels swiftly removed, but may be present in other stores (?).

Get on the blower to Head Office and tell them that the manager is not following company policy.

They will just agree with SM, had this before as they do say as OP mentioned that it is NOT an overcharge but "operator error"
  • I don't know if this has been posted but spotted a clanger on Tesco's site.

    Search for Tesco Vegetable Korma.

Only one product should come up on the search.

Click on 2 for £1 offer just below it.

There are loads of meals that shouldn't be in there.

Some are only showing up as 1p. A few in there for £3.29.
