    I am thick!

I would have thought the dtd should have been on the shelf price of £25.

    Charged £49.97 (£24.97 difference * 2 £49.94 - £25 = £24.94).

Then u double the £24.94 as that is the difference between the 2 prices

Finish Quantum dishwasher tablets (24 pack), charged £6.76, big 4 shelf display at the end of an aisle with out of date SEL for £4.00, so £5.52 DTD refunded :j .

When I went to show CS, she wasn't happy as the old SELs had been removed from the top 2 shelves but not the bottom ones :D . All removed now though.

    Actually, you were right the first time: (£49.97 - £25.00) x 2 = £49.94.
You DON'T deduct the sel price from the DTD again (that would be DTD minus SEL - hmm, now there's an idea for a new refund policy. Can you imagine the confusion THAT would cause!!!!)

erm, no - £24.97 is the difference
    so double the difference is 2 x £24.97 = £49.94
but hflower74 got a refund for the full amount paid (£49.97) so she actually paid nothing instead of getting it for 3p.

I can't believe this thread is turning into a maths lesson - you never used to have this kerfuffel with R&R :p

  • At the moment Tesco has Home& Garden event where 20% off price is deducted at the checkout. There is only one exclusion mentioned- furniture on Tesco direct. However it does not work if you picked an item that is already reduced (one with yellow SEL) - i.e. quite few shelf storage boxes, candles and so on. You might have a fight on you hands or just easy 40% off - depends what mood your CS is in.
    Mine was a fight...

I got two packs of tesco finest mince 500g, SEL £2.00 charged £2.44 each. Got DD of £1.76 :)
    ################
    It's still out there - found 3 tonight(makes a nonsense of the '£2.19 each,Buy 2 for £4' running concurrently.)
Also, I WANT to think another ENORMOUS Value Butter price hike is an error, but 'fraid not. It shot up from 53p to 70p recently, then back to 68p(in line with competitors)BUT tonight it's rocketed to 85p!
    And while I'm ranting, be careful buying sugar - it's cheaper to buy 2 x 1kg packs, each 72p, rather than a 2kg pack for £1.53. Even the 5kg pack saves only 1p(£3.59), against 5 x 1kg(=£3.60).

Goodfellas Deeply Delicious Pepperoni Pizza - should be half price at £1.24 but the offer is not coming off, so charged £2.48.

    1.24 x 2 = 2.48 ... which means... free pizza :)
