Ovaltine 2 for £3, discount not coming off Therefore total is £3.58

CS weren't budging only 58p offered, very rude and aggressive.

It is disgraceful that "customer service" staff treat you in this way. Not only did they not follow their policy as dictated by their Board of Directors (can you imagine not following a directive from your Directors, written on a bl**dy big board behind your place of work????) they also treated you very badly.

I would strongly suggest phoning the store and speaking to the manager - you won't have to give them any personal details - and telling him what happened to you. At least you will have made him aware of what his staff are doing.

  • Was in Camberley store, noticed Carlsberg 20x 275ml was half price (£7) but also noticed a crate with 4 free bottles of citrus. I self scanned that to make sure it was still £7 and it was. However the tills charged £14 each but before i entered my credit card pin, i queried it and it was corrected by the supervisor but when i asked about their policy the lady very rudely told me "but you havent bought them yet".......that will teach me to complete the transaction first !!! a hard lesson learnt , oh i'm new here btw, hello all

Picked up 2x bedsheets yesterday - price marked at £4.97 on the shelf, charged £8 - went to customer services, and given just a £3.03 refund back on each product.
Told that the double the difference isn't happening any more - even though its still written in huge print behind the counter.
Argued till i was blue in the face, and yet still only got the difference back.

Can anyone confirm weather or not this policy is being scrapped?

Bad luck on this and welcome to the world of DTD / R&R. For sure, the lesson is to pay first and then sort it all out.

Incidentally, can anyone say for sure whether Tesco Guava & Raspberry Super Smoothies 1 litre goes through at 2 for £3? ** I checked this out and the discount did kick in.

You'll soon learn, paulv - the trick is that you should always pick your cashier carefully - I usually go to the spotty 16 year olds who are more easily fooled, even when my mouth goes into overdrive and shouts 'mistake, mistake!', it's often possible to say 'sorry, I don't know why I said that, carry on..' - It's always easier if you act like you're their mother or their teacher so they don't dare argue with you, lol.
