What always amuses me is when they say you're wrong and that Tesco has no price promise when they are stood infront of an A3 poster advertising the 'promise'... Always great fun to get them to turn around and read it out loud... I did that to the last one, put a big smile on my face for the rest of the day... The disputed "double" was only 54p, but as they say... the rest was priceless!!!

saw a few simpsons box sets today,stickered 19.99 sel 29.99 did not get them as we have had 3 lots of every box set on previous occasions.
worth a look in a store with a self scanner.

Got another copy of finding Nemo today! Stickered at 6.97 scanned at 19.97. CS staff couldn't get their heads around DtD and had to spend about twenty minutes speaking to Managers. We eventually got there but it was hard work. Unbelieveably, they are still out there.
Pookienoodle, those Simpsons ones just keep reappearing from somewhere don't they?! We also have all of them and they are really great gifts. Thanks Tesco!:money:

I think sometimes the farce of trying to work it out is designed to see how little the customer will accept, sometimes the staff are just thick. I can remember when it was still r&r and a manager asking how much I had been overcharged per kilo to work it out and I said why bother its a full refund isn't it, to which she reddened and said yes of course. At my local store depending on whos on the desk sometimes I get DTD and sometimes R&R still, as long I'm getting the best deal I don't complain, lol.

The difficulty I find is that due to the plastic cases they put DVDs in , they won't scan at the Self Scanner.

Just read your reply.

May be too late to query now but I didn't challenge it at the time as there has been so many different interpretations on this lately and the CS was one of the more senior managers who is normally pretty accurate.

Still have my receipt so may take this up. Will let you know how I get on.

Saw Simpsons Season 2 stickers 19.84 SEL 29.97

Thought what the hell lets give it a go. Got to till and sure enough went through at 29.97

Went to CS thinking I might have to point the sign out. Conversation went something like this

Me : Hi, I have been over charged on this
Cs : Ok not problem sir. (She calls entertainment and tells them to take all the stickers off)
Cs : I need you card for the refund sir
Me : (Handing card over). How much refund should it be? Ready to argue it should be 10.13 refund x2.
CS : It is a full refund sir of 29.97 and you get to keep the DVD
Me : Sounds good to me thank you very much.

Needless to say i decided not to correct her on policy as I would have only received 20.26 back

Forgetful

I have a leaflet which says they will reund the difference of any product that is cheaper elsewhere as long as I bring in the receipt..needless to say they would not honour it and even told me it was a misprint . The case is now in the hands of the ASA.

today I saw a PSP game (sorry can't remember title) with a big yellow £19 sticker on (on product under security box)and a SEL saying £27.97. Does anyone know about the yellow sticker promotions? Are they still running? I'm thinking it might be a misprice but wanted to check with you guys first, no self scans working in this store.
