You could get a friend to check the price, even if theres no scanners they could take it to a till and ask for a price check and if its wrong you go in either quite a bit later or even next day and r&r it.
  • Hello

I have been into my local Tesco and they have a Motorola W*** with the price label £97.** or £77.** when you spend £40 or more instore, on all of the other labels at the end of the 'spend £** or more instore' it has a '*' and the smallprint '*terms & conditions...blah,blah'. This label has the *terms and conditions bit, but not next to the 'instore' bit. So, can I get the r+r because of the missed '*' and can this £40 or more spend be for the phone or do I need to buy other stuff?

I hope I have explained myself clearly....

Keep up the good work :)

I would totally agree with leadhead don't feed the troll already he/she is getting bored with the site given a few days and he/she will hopefully leave, by responding to the trolls you give them what they desire so much ATTENTION!

With regards to the other forum good luck, of course many posters from MSE will be joining you lets be honest here survival of the fitest, every man/woman for themselves, everybody likes to have a finger in as many honey pots as they can ;)

Maybe i used to many smilies sorry.

Thanks for that, although there are a lot more constructive and learned posters than the five mentioned, who may not have posted recently, so you may not have seen them if you've only read recent pages.

Infortunately there are times when we all get "sucked in " by the trolls, but hopefully its very few and far between.

Hopefully the other forums can work hand in hand with this one, giving us all some rich pickings from Mr T.

BACK ON TRACK..........Do Tescos have nominated charities or do they have a "charity of the month" so to speak.........The reason i ask is that if Tescos change their policy i personally wouldn`t mind getting the difference back and tescos making a donation to charity. Thoughts?

(and just for the record, i would also think other supermarkets could do the same)

    Thoughts?

I certainly would object to giving it to a Tesco nominated charity

    Lets face it....

Tesco's would be claiming tax back for it,

    Gaining publicity from it.

    And gaining possibly other rewards.

No thanks........A charity I nominate.....yes, but not Tesco.

    Dudes,

Over the last 24 hours or so I've been thanked quite a few times - here and off-line for my Tesco advice.

Times like this when I forget about the trolls - I love this place.

No one member is bigger than the sum of its parts.

I hesistate to name names - because I'll forget some - but lets hear it for the veterans - Ben (Welsh) springs to mind - he was and remains an early inspiration for me - his legal advice is second to none.

The Tesco Dudes - Constantine, Spa2k and Tars - all damn fine fellows who have taken some s!!! in their time and still display good humour and are always willing to help.

Then there's the more recent veterans (if there's such a thing) - the likes of Pluschris, Flo Flo, Wlfc, Leadhead - and many others (my memory isn't too good....)

Leadhead is - IMHO - a shining example of what this community is all about - when he first joined he was a bolshy little grabber - now he's got a firm grip on the game and his posts are class - give that man a cigar.

And the Dudes that I always don't see eye-to-eye with - Taxiphil and Postie - the debate is always refreshing and by and large healthy.

And there are the Dudes that disappear for a while - like Georgiac - a damn fine Dude and it was good to see him back in the saddle - there are others, again my memory lets me down.

And you newbies - keep the faith - there will always be the odd troll or someone claiming to be from Tesco's and trying to wind the community up - ignore these twonks - stay here and keep the faith.

I wish you all a prosperous 4 or 5 days R&Ring ahead of Christmas, a plesant holiday with your loved ones and a peaceful (if not a profitable New Year)

    Duder

PS Oh, and I guess the Mods are okay too ;)
  • Are the xmas kids ANNUALS still going thru wrong on the 2 for £8, if so, what combinations please?

    Scoobydoo & Noddy

    Cars and Pokemon

Worked for me, I did get others but they've already gone out as presents and I can't remember the exact combinatons.

Seems to some of the ones with Pedigree on that cause a problem, I haven't had any recently though so can't be sure if its still working.

For there to be an RandR situation, there has to be a misprice.

The fact that the wording is different, doesnt mean that there will be a misprice.

You cannot use part of the price of the phone as your £40....you must spend a further £40

If you spend £40 instore on products within the TandC's and your discount doesnt come off, then you have a claim.

However, this may not even be straightforward, as "operator error" (them not pressing the button) is often used by managers to wangle out of the refund.........although this should not be the case, as it is still an overcharge.
