So if Tesco's do change the policy how many of us will spend a little extra time helping tesco's each week by reporting every misprice they spot to trading standards?

We could even do a list of the email addresses of each local TS office.

    After all, every little helps!

Ooh, and we could have it set up so that every misprice email gets cc'ed to Watchdog & the national newspapers....

    1 emailed report: no story
100 email reports per day: BIG story.

What a PR disaster it would be for tesco's to dump their policy then!

    :rotfl:

    Thats a great idea

    Imagine the troubles :D
    £2051.50 since Oct 25 2006 ;) Make mine a Golden £143.46 :D

I can't really understand this

If you go to Sainsburys and get overcharged, then CS will give you the difference back but nobody seems to be rushing to Trading Standards to complain every time, AFAIK. Tesco, at the moment, give you your money back and the product but if they change the policy then it is in line with Sainsburys for example (and even a little better by giving double the difference)

and yet people are talking about still telling Trading Standards about the overcharges at Tesco. Surely they have covered themselves by giving back, just like Sainsburys, the amount they have overcharged you. So where is this difference between the rumoured new Tesco policy and the existing one in Sainsburys which people don't seem to complain about to TS

I would have thought a company only has to compensate you for the overcharge, and if they do then TS wouldn't be able to do anything. Tesco are still going to be compensating you, just not quite as magnanimously as before admittedly!

That's spooky, I just posted a message with the same approach. Now all I have to work out is, is it a case of "great minds" or "fools seldom differ" :-))

  • Taken for the mis-price thread.
    Origionally posted by Geomum

"You need the H&B leaflets that advertise BOGOF on colgate deep clean toothpaste (£2.28) as evidence I reckon, but BOGOF didn't come out on till receipt, so took to customer services who confirmed t&c on leaflet & gave full R&R.
This works at tower park poole branch hopefully others?
Also don't forget to use the other coupon attached to leaflet that gives you £1 off a £4 spend on H&B products"

If you get the right CO spend £12 on Health & beauty products which are on bOGOF. Hand over
    1x £2.50
    3 x £1
    4 or 5 50 extra points vouchers

I paid 61p for £12.60 worth of items & gained 250 extra points.

All these are available from the leaflets around certain stores. ( I havent found any but have been lucky enough to of been given some today)

There is a discussion about these vouchers- its in the discount/on-line codes thread
  • regarding poss change of policy etc........DON`T PANIC!

If it were to happen i`m sure that someone as clued up as Martin (the guy who runs the site!) would be aware of it and would let all us concerned consumers know!
When things in life start to weigh heavy on your shoulders, and people all around are having a go, just smile and think.......Fxxk em!
