Beer offer is now 2 for £16 so the old 3 for £20 wont work you will get 2 for £12 and the 3rd will be the normal price.

I would also like to say hello to the r+rer I met in Rochdale on Sunday afternoon, the way you were looking through the 2 for £12 dvd's was a give away also 2 packs of beer and 3 dvd's in the trolly.

How did you go on? the beer one was a little sus I thought as none of the signs were specific enough to say which beer packs were included in the offer.

regarding poss change of policy etc........DON`T PANIC!

If it were to happen i`m sure that someone as clued up as Martin (the guy who runs the site!) would be aware of it and would let all us concerned consumers know!

"Hello, is that Mart? Hi Mart its Tel....Listen, just wanna give you the heads up...you know that r and r thing we used too do? I'm a bit bored with it, so I'm gonna change it. Is that ok with you?"

Oh to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.;)

  • Hi I'm just looking for some advice about a misprice I thought I had today. I saw last weeks game of the week poster for Lego Star Wars II on the PS2 on display today. The price on the poster was for a couple of pounds less than the price on the SEL. I bought the game (it scanned at SEL price) along with some groceries and wandered back out to the car and then back to CS.

I spoke to a CS assistant and took her to the aisle with the poster and showed her what I thought I was going to pay. The CS assistant compared the game price first to the SEL and then to the poster, and then pointed to some very small writing at the bottom of the poster which stated offer ends 17/12/06. Now I could hardly read this writing but upon closer inspection it was there. I returned to the CS desk and she came back after about 5 minutes. She explained that I could have a normal refund if I wanted, but due to the writing on the poster I was not entitled to an r&r. After I had listened to what she said I asked if I could speak to a manager.

Manager comes over and reiterates what the CS advisor said. I said to him that I thought the writing on the poster was tiny and could hardly read it, but was told that because it is there it means that the offer ended yesterday.

Although I pointed out that I had purchased a few offers before after the supposed end date it was very clear that they were not going to budge one inch. I was then offered the Head Office number and told that they would say the same thing to me. I declined and asked for a refund.

Does the tiny writing at the bottom of the poster 'get them out of it'. Should I have bothered to phone Head Office? I didn't want to raise my profile over this one item so just walked away from it really.

    ......

Why are you so obsessed with who is a tesco employee on this site? Most of us have never made any attempt to hide who we are and what we do. In fact we have on many occasions helped others on here that have asked for it....

Dont see us as the enemy, we all visit the site for one thing and that is to save money, its just that we do it in different ways.

Rule 1: No 1 can be mean, or laugh at those not very good at R&R
Rule 2: No personal details of others to be published ever
Rule 3: No Tesco staff allowed (Penalty: Whipping & stoning!!)

    :rotfl: :rotfl:

Can I opt for Stoning please.

I find being Stoned regularly makes me far more tolerant of the miss guided posts one finds on this thread from time to time

    Hi,

Does anyone know whether the Misprice on Mobiles (Spend 40 Pounds in store) still work? Also, would anyone happen to know whether they actually went through the till incorrectly or whether the cashier needs to press any buttons? Did anyone have any luck on them today?

    THANKS.
