Tesco misprice discussion area part 16

Also for those who are unsure on the rumours. Tesco ARE changing the policy in Jan. After speaking to H/O last week they told me it was being changed to "Double the Difference" on over charges as from Jan.

With that news we all must make this Xmas the best one ever and go Crazy for the last few weeks getting R&Rs.

Found one of those lovely Fosters sels stating 3 for £20 and a huge pile of Fosters boxes. Put 3 in my trolley, paid and headed out to the car.

Realised I had been charged 2 for £16 plus £9.98 for the 3rd so headed for CS. I took her to the offending display and the bl**dy sel had disappeared and CS was not prepared to do anything about it.

I decided not to push it, so just said if you can't sell it to me for 3 for £20 then I didn't want it and took a refund.

Went back at lunchtime and got a couple of the older misprices that have been kicking about for a month or so, so all was not lost.

In my local all labels on beer were being changed by one of the security guards.
If i ever get an r&r in my locla the security guard comes over & pokes his nose in, it is actually quite intimidating.
People were everywhere checking labels

Picked up a West Wing DVD set which was stickered, overcharged so went to CS to be told that we only offer the difference on items like that now!!!. He was right next to the sign which clearly said full refund and near the entrance which had a large poster on display which also said full refund on.
I quietly remarked 'actually neither of these posters say that, and neither does the one for electricals' ( guessed that was probably the case) so he disappeared to see a manager.
When he came back I couldn't resist dragging him over to the stand where they had three others plus a SEL all marked the same. Got back to the till where a large queue had built up and then i asked him so what was the actual policy. He looked really blank and then twigged saying that it's going to change in the New Year. I struggled to stop myself calling him a liar.:rotfl:

Not sure if it is true but this R&Rer states it is true & the policy is changing from Jan. Any inside information?

In my local Tesco store last week the blue sign at cs has been changed to another blue sign without the R&R policy. Now I can't read the policy to them when they say they'll only give me the difference.

What is the source of this rumour ? Well thats my first post done.
