Any information regarding an incident that happened to my wife yesterday would be appreciated.
Same thing happened to me and my wife a few weeks back (simpsons box set) and was told someone could of put the sticker on after i paid for it! When the c.s. **** saw the look on my face she quickly added "i am not saying it was you!!!" I would still like to know who else they could possibly have been refering too!

My saving grace was there were more on the shelf with the same sticker on them!

You did get the r&r in the end though didnt you? i would not bother going to head office as this might flag you but i would go into the store and make a formal complaint about the way you were treated.
    Oh look a bunny!

I was once overcharged on a game which was stickered at a lower price than it scanned. It was in a locked perspex box and I had walked immediately from the till to customer sevice. The assistant AND the manager told me that I must have bought a key and Tesco price stickers from Ebay and put the sticker there myself, as they knew for a fact that it had not come from their shelves!!!!

I told them to refund my whole shop and stick it where the sun don't shine!

If it was a returned item - from another store - and someone hadn't taken the sticker off and simply put it back on the shelf..... it's more than conceivable that it came from their shelves.
  • Out of interest how long have Tesco had the R&R policy? Whats the earliest date any of you remember purposly finding a misprice?

If Tesco did change their policy, it seems that we may be losing a great British tradition, part of our heritage, surely we can form a charity (funded by sales of unwanted R&Rs) to fight this, if not for ourselves then for our children!! AND OUR CHILDRENS CHILDREN!!
    LONG LIVE R&R!
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!

Mine was a Findus lasagne years ago, but it never crossed my mind to look for items mispriced until I found this thread - not the sharpest tack in the box am I.:o

How much fun would it be to get a counter on the main webpage which people cliked after they'd sent an email to their local trading standards office....this could easily reach 10,000 complaints in one day and Martin could even prepare an e-mail template which people could add details into rather than having to word the complete e-mail from scratch....

...with Martin leading the campaign imagine the negative publicity this could generate for Tesco - everyone seems to love digging up a story about how they abuse their customers suppliers so the press would run with this and Tesco share values drop with customers deciding not to trust them either.....I can see that nice Declan chap on morning telly quizzing Sir T on why he overcharges his customers on so many items....

In the corner of my twisted mind I am kinda hoping they do change the policy...

Im not convinced Martin is too concerned about this issue but yes if you think about it, it would be very much part of the motto of this site: "Consumer Revenge"
    .

Lol FloFlo similar here, mine was wine and chocolate raisins on the same shop about 4 years ago and then overcharged regularly so much so that I stopped shopping at Tesco and started shopping at Asda and Sainsburys intead! But only recently realised I should have continued to let them overcharge me.
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p
