That’s unfair mate !, there is no secret or exclusive forum and Ole has already clearly stated that anyone is free to join, so its not a case of the Peoples front of Judea or Popular front of Judea. Just a fantastic addition of what is on offer here !, but without the bickering or trolling.
If you ignore my python bit - the point at the start was my usual 'each to their own'....
And hey - I've been helping Dudes here almost continually for coming up to 2 years and I've constantly pleaded with the Mods - on and off line - to keep this thread alive dispite troll activity.
And another hey - I've posted at least twice that I have no problems at all with alternative forums.
And a final hey - I love life and enjoy adding my own little sparkly bit of humour - sorry if I offended

Dude - take her easy man. Dont let these guys stress you.
I`ve always thought that alternative secret sites detract from the community spriit on here, and have refused to join them or ask for an invite.
Many of the most vocal posters on here forget that we all started off as minnows, with no R + R experience. We should give back to this site in the same way that others have given to us.
Yes, we can all nail Tesco to the wall and take them for what is sustainable - I am all for that. But help out the other Dudes too - check out how often these threads get read compared to how many actively post - there are a LOT of people benefitting from the miss-prices. Taking it underground only helps Tesco by reducing the number of active r + Rers.
Oh, and thanks again TE for you hilarious posts - keep up the trolling, I see you are getting quite a good response.
Will be glad to eat my hat if Tesco ACTUALLY introduce the policy you are promoting.0 -
Ham butty how many hats do you have? I belive tesco may change the policy, untill it happens we can only speculate. I have been speaking to a manager who said they arn't but normally store staff are the last to know anything so who knows? proberbly the tesco marketing department and we know what their track record is like.0

Frankly if they do change the policy then they are in a lot of trouble...the misprice thread had over 500,000 views last time I looked. If just 1% of those people complain to trading standards about Tesco's ongoing mispricing then Trading standards will take the complaints extremely seriously. I suggest if the policy changes in January everyone reading this send a complaint to Trading standards about several items which we know are mispriced.
The mispricing is so common and even when I have informed customer services they STILL don't change the price - it is against trading standard laws to misprice items TESCO!!!
I reckon we can all find several items in each store whenever we visit TEsco but some are so small (Spontex washing up pads) not worht bothering about. However Trading standards will care and then Tesco will be whacked for a hefty fine per item in each of their stores. The cost of this will easily outweigh the costs of the people who do succesfullly R+R
I hope TE does read this as then perhaps he/she will realise that the R+R rule buys our good grace where as if it finishes I think you may find you have a barrage of complaints being sent to Trading standards and a bigger fine than the cost of us lot R+Ring....
Tesco's choice I guess which way they want to play it - Bad publicity in the press about mispricing and overcharging or continue with a policy that buys your customers silence...I for one won't be happy to get 70p double the difference and on principle WILL complain to trading standards...let the battle commence....
Right rant over....Tesco is my second home:j0 -
How much fun would it be to get a counter on the main webpage which people cliked after they'd sent an email to their local trading standards office....this could easily reach 10,000 complaints in one day and Martin could even prepare an e-mail template which people could add details into rather than having to word the complete e-mail from scratch....
...with Martin leading the campaign imagine the negative publicity this could generate for Tesco - everyone seems to love digging up a story about how they abuse their customers suppliers so the press would run with this and Tesco share values drop with customers deciding not to trust them either.....I can see that nice Declan chap on morning telly quizzing Sir T on why he overcharges his customers on so many items....
In the corner of my twisted mind I am kinda hoping they do change the policy...Tesco is my second home:j0 -

I am not that worried! With Tescos track record, if they change the policy in January, chances are we will still find o.o.d posters at c.s stating the old policy in March:rotfl:
Besides you know they will mess up the bogof's and then we will still get a FULL REFUND!:beer:Oh look a bunny!0 -
Whenever I read one of TescoEmployee's arrogant post's that seem to be deliberatly attempting to wind up and antagonise Tesco's customers I often wonder to myself whether he is breaking the terms of his contract with Tesco.
Quite a lot of the major retail companies state in their employee's handbook (or equivalent) that talking to the media or is gross misconduct and that posting on the internet is considered releasing information to the media.
Would be interesting to know whether Tesco include the same clause because I think that TescoEmployee certainly deserves at the very least a good talking to for his (or her) attitude towards customers.0
