Tesco misprice discussion area part 16

I got a mail from tesco direct today informing me that the Harry Potter 4 disk box set is reduced from £16.97 to £9.97 which I thought was excellent value.
On clicking through though, I find it is coming up as £18.97!
Anyone have any idea if this would be covered by the R&R policy as the actual price is shown before purchase?0 -

If i remember correctly the offer was for TESCO Jersey? no i don't assume r&r is applicable for the TESCO website.Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.:j:D

Sorry if this is a stupid question, how do you figure out the R&R on meat products? Is it by noting down the SEL price as you're going round doing your shopping and then comparing it against the price on the till receipt? Or by comparing it against the price marked on the actual product?
Sorry if that doesnt make sense!
Valleylass normally with meat there is a difference between the sel and the price on the pack per Kg so the shelf label says Tesco prime rib steaks £xx.xx per Kg and the pack has the pack weight the price per kg and the pack price. If the pack price is based on a higher price per Kg then bingo - u got yourself an R&R (probably)
Be very careful that the pack and the product size (often in grams but sometimes small medium and large, or 1-2 for the number of pices) are the same as on the product you are picking up.
I would always go to CS and say something like "I'm sorry but I think there has been a mistake in the price of my...." and then explain that on the shelf there was a sign saying £x.xx and I assumed that you would adjust the price at the check out but I see that that didn't happen.
The last five digits of the barcode are usually the pack price plus a trailing digit so it is fairly certain you will be charged the pack price one situatuion that as caught me out before is where there are set pack sizes like ofr mince where the pack is a strandard 400g these are much less likely to be overcharged because the barcode for the product triggers the lower standard price.
I know people may disagree but I tend not to go after meat things where the difference is 1p in the Kg because someone as CS might just work out that the overcharge on anything less than 1 Kg is less than 1 p and may not be an overcharge at all because the prices are rounded down for the pack price anyway. If a CS person does that to you they would never forgett you making any future dealings with them potentially uncomfortable.
I also limit myself to two or three packs of meat but I know others who say they prefer to fill their freezers.
Hope this heps - good luck - oh and by the way Wednesday mornings seem to be about the best time for this.

Just posted this when I saw that Mr T's stalker is posting misprices - Judy must be a very successful R&R'er to feel this way!

Hello,
Managed to read a few posts on Tescos R&R and can't find out the following
1. Is it easy to get a refund and keep the Item? Do the CS put up a fight?!!
2. Where is the sign stating the policy normally located?
3. Can Tesco refuse to honor their policy - say if you R&R on a 299 quid satnav?

The first answer depends on lots of things..its easier to get an RandR on a £3 overpriced chicken, than it is on a £299 sat nav, its easier to get an RandR if the specific store/manager/CS believe in their policy........really I could go on.
The big sign is usually around the CS area...its a blue board. There are usually A4 or A5 notices on the tills at CS as well.
Tescos often refuse to honour their policy... even on small items.
There is no consistency at all in Tesco's response to refunding after an overcharge.
Skills learnt by reading these threads will aid your success.
As Zara says above....read Post 1 and 2 on Page 1 of this thread, before doing anything else.Couponing....."every little hurts"

1. It can be. Or it can be a right pain. That is part of the "fun"
2. Around the CSD somewhere, normally behind but not always (mine is way off to the side due to lack of space, guess I stock too many cigarettes)
3. They can sometimes, strangelyWho or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0
