I havent got one R&R yet ... and its a bit frustrating ... is there hope?

Went out to a Tescos Extra in SW London today where the Manager has stenciled over the promise ... obviously that store likes to make its own promises, not the company-wide one.

One SEL was gone, the other product I wanted wasn't in stock at all.

In another Tescos a little later the product I wanted was there, the SEL was lower then the CS Desk inventory system (which showed they had none in stock), but when I took it to the till it scanned at the SEL price.

I was keen to ask them to sell it to me at the higher price... doesn't seem anyway around this ... I wonder why the CS desk couldnt find any stock but listed the higher price while the Electrical department scanned at the SEL price.

Any creative solutions on how I can buy this at the higher price? Unfortuantly the electical department is in its own area in this store, so I have to purchase it in the Electrical Dept.

FloFlo, These are found in Toys and Games.

It is an interactive dvd game, in a blue/purple box.

On tesco.com today for £24.97.

I'm sure you'll want at least one.

...Apparently Tesco are ending their R&R policy in February... I've now been told this by a number of people at different stores, so am guessing that there is some truth in it...

Who knows but jumping the gun sounds the best option. They have heard a change is imminent and wanted to stop us in our tracks. shame they have the small promise posters on all the checkouts.

Some advise please;
in my Tesco there are SEL £279 Xboxes, SEL £279 Xbox core , then Xbox bundle with gears of war in no SEL.
They are all side by side, if the £279 SEL is a little bit infront of the gears of war budle can I R&R?

From a consumers perspective it would be reasonable to rely on the SEL for £279 (as there is no other SEL specifically for the GOW bundle on display).

However from Tesco's point of view, they will say the SEL applicable to the bundle isn't on display. Although this is breaking the law, unless you are lucky or prepared for a very lengthy argument, possibly contacting head office, raising your profile etc, they won't r&r it. You may be offered it at the cheaper SEL price and given a raft of excuses as to why they won't r&r.

Also if the SEL for that pack is missing it may have been r&r'd recently already.

Ok I'll leave it! That would just be for greed rather than need anyway!
I am desperate for a vacuum cleaner as I blew mine up last night (Who knew that you can't shampoo the carpet then suck up the foam!:rotfl: :eek: )
I seriously cannot afford one, probably not till the end of the year!
If any1 does notice 1 please PM me asap I would be extremely grateful!
