    allstar didn't have to take the full refund if they felt that badly about it. That said, others didn't have to be quite so rude to them either.

    IMHO though, with Tesco making £2.2 billion profit last year this forum should be a blessing to them as it makes them work that bit harder to get things right. Also, if they over charge every customer even a few pennies once a month, I bet they make far more money than they loose from MSE bargain finders on here.

    I dont think they actually showed the list, it was just in view. So no they wouldn't have told them about the site.
    We took on Mr T and we won:D

    Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now :beer:

    I had a nice Xmas and hoping to have a r&r New Year, I hope you are too. Enjoying your tv? I shall be reaching for the wallet Monday to BUY a plasma, so think of us mere mortals when you're watching yours.

    I am supposed to writing about 6,000 words now for submission Monday, OH is on the wii, so doesn't know I'm not working.

    I have this evening been made to feel like a criminal because of this forum.

    I purchased an Xbox 360 from Tesco that had a sticker with the price on the shelf of £279.99 but was charged £299.99. I went to the customer service desk and told them I had been over charged, one of the first things I was as was asked was did I know of what I now assume is this site where people post mis-prices and then try and get them for free from Tesco.

    They offered me the difference but I tried my luck and mentioned the sign behind the desk. Thinking they would tell me to get stuffed and that I could only have the difference back

    While I stood and waited for managers to help me I could tell something was not right and it now makes sense to me, they thought I had previous knowledge about this scam and had gone there with the intention of getting it for free. When in fact I had been searching around for one in the New Years sales and found this one to be the cheapest price.

    I had to provide Tesco with my driving licence to prove who I was and where I lived and I now feel that when I go back there (I shop there each week) I will be followed and known as the one that tried to scam Tesco out of £300.

    One of the members of staff that came to help me had what looked to be a huge list of items that had been posted on this site and this Xbox was at the top of it.

    Tesco has now gained my loyalty for this excellent level of customer service and I will ensure that continually shop there.

    I assume that Tesco read these message boards and would like to thank them for honouring this gesture of good will despite what appears to be systematic abuse of it my a number of users of this website. If I were Tesco I would now scrap this policy and ensure that you were all banned from entering a Tesco again.

    OK, they are a big multination business but that does not mean that what you are doing is right. Should I have been made to feel like I did this evening? It was human error, have none of you ever made a mistake?

    Really don’t know what else to say, I am stunned that you feel this is right.
    YOU STATE WE SHOULD ALL BE BANNED FROM TESCO HOW DARE YOU AFTER TELLING US YOU TRIED YOUR LUCK YOURSELF!!!! CHEEKY *** AND YOU TALK ABOUT US ABUSING THE POLICY HOW DARE YOU ONCE AGAIN YOU DID THE EXACT SAME THING BERCAUSE YES YOU DID KNOW ABOUT THIS SITE YOU ADMITTED IT AND STILL TOOK YOUR FULL REFUND AND I DONT DOUBT FOR ONE MINUTE YOU WILL CONTINUALLY SHOP THERE JUST LIKE THE REST OF US YOU ARE VERY TWO FACED!!!! AND HAVE THE CHEEK TO CALL US FOR ITY WHEN YOU DID THE SAME!!!!! CHEEKY CHEEKY***:mad:
