I was thinking of changing the current overcharge policy to something which favours the customers, perhaps a double refund, an upgrade of the item to the next model, extra clubcard points, free taxi home, a twix bar, followed by either a curtsey/bow and a full apology in front of other customers.

Read my earlier posts.......ive been RandR ing for a long time now.....NEVER sold anything electrical........take it back for a refund, or exchange, then take the exchanged item back....its easy....

of course Christmas is over now, so the lapse in CS awkwardness may over..........Ive kept £200 consoles for Christmas week(off September) knowing i would get a refund....

As I am new to this I didnt even think about using cash and I have just done my 2nd R+R using credit card (and clubcard) - bit stupid of me.

My receipt for today has 5 electrical items coming to 75 quid. The CS man did not write anything on the receipt so in theory I could take all 5 items back for a refund.

Would I be doing anything illegal by doing this? If I had paid cash (which I will do in future) I would not hessitate but I am very wary to go back for a refund on my credit card for something I have already been refunded for!

Should I just sell them on ebay and make sure I pay cash in the future?

    Cheers for any advice

Take them back to a different store, should have no problem with a refund and it is extremely unlikely they will look up your details.

Tell me about it. Last week, I ended up taking out a new mobile phone contract purely on the basis that they would give me a Nokia N73 for free on a 12 month contract at £25 a month. I only did it because I wanted to upgrade from TTM5 to TTM6. How sad is that?
