Have a look at http://www.tescocorporate.com/page.aspx?pointerid=4ED2AEFA66264290BBDB510DC60371A8 (the page you quoted) especially the last paragraph of the nomination section where it says:

"All new Directors are submitted for election by shareholders in their first year. All Directors have to submit themselves for re-election at least every three years if they wish to continue serving and are considered by the Board to be eligible."

So even Tesco directors have to look over their shoulders .....

    Exactly ..... Thank You;)

I would like to stand for election to the board of Tesco directors, I think I have some good ideas for revitalising their customer care policies.;)

Should I submit a formal application or just turn up to the next AGM.

I was thinking of changing the current overcharge policy to something which favours the customers, perhaps a double refund, an upgrade of the item to the next model, extra clubcard points, free taxi home, a twix bar, followed by either a curtsey/bow and a full apology in front of other customers.
  • you have some sound ideas there Floflo, but i have to ask, have you been on the whacky baccy?

Time we started a mass campaign to get FloFlo Elected to the Board of Tesco's. Maybe a petition by all the MSE's, who wants to draft out a sample letter??
