well, not sure (sorry to sound thick) i don't want to be increasing my shopping bill, which is high enough, in the hope of getting some r&r. in fact, this looked like a great way of reducing it somewhat. but, do you guys and girls actually find yourself spending more than you might have? dvd's and games etc? Would be very interested to know how much other families spend on their grocery bills every week! because i buy milk and bread and occasional other items from our local shop which no doubt bumps my actual shopping bill up.
thanks,

Yes ..Sorry Sarah....You should spend less, but initially until you get the hang of things, learn to read the signs(excuse the pun) then you could end up paying a little more.
My OH used to do the shopping, I used to look for Randrs.....so really i knew everything i was getting was free.
I never really had a trial /learning period on food, mainly because the meat, cheese and food items were cetrtainties, later if you made a mistake on electricals....i took it back the next day.
This is something to remember...as long as you keep your receipt, you have 28 days to return your goods.........(food and perishables not included in this)Couponing....."every little hurts"

In my opinion its best to R&R the higher priced products and then sell them on (Ebay, etc..) and end up getting your weekly shopping for free. But you can find good R&Rs that will decrease your shopping bill, (Meat, etc...).
Remember we arnt spending money at all. When we buy dvds we are getting a refund, so by R&Ring youll never end up spending more.0 -
thanks for your speedy replies. Am definitely going to give it a bash...just one more questin before i venture towards the tescos tomorrow. How do you guys spot them? do you write all the prices down as you walk around? have seen mention of self scanners in some stores, but that is going to be impractical? Oh, and many thanks for the tip on electrical and dvd prices. But even then, how do you check? and what if it goes through okay and you end up with a tv or a dvd player or games and films you don't need! can you refund them for no other reason than you don't want them?
Thanks,

Read my earlier posts.......ive been RandR ing for a long time now.....NEVER sold anything electrical........take it back for a refund, or exchange, then take the exchanged item back....its easy....
of course Christmas is over now, so the lapse in CS awkwardness may over..........Ive kept £200 consoles for Christmas week(off September) knowing i would get a refund....Couponing....."every little hurts"

See I bought a couple games last week and as usual the CS person wrote REF in pen next to the item. So I gathered that I cant use the receipt to return it. So I tried telling them that I had bought the game and lost the receipt, they told me they wouldnt do it and that I NEEDED a receipt. I never tried it again, but I think I will next time.0
