  • I took the item to customer services to ask for a refund under your
advertised overcharge policy. However, after initially being told that I could keep the item and have the cost refunded, I was told after a half an hour wait that this had changed and that the Duty Manager would not refund as the small print at the bottom of the posters stating that the offer ended on the 17th December. I spoke directly to the duty manager (*****) who confirmed that this was the case.

I take MAJOR offence to you naming the Duty Manager on a national website when they are unaware that their name will be on public display here.

Read the following letter from me to Tesco Head Office, and they're reply. I'd be interested to know what people think...

They may as well use out of date labels on all the items if they can get out of it this easy, I bet trading standards would find this interesting.

And im sure the Manager named in the post will be interested to know that their name is being publicly used in this forum.

  • Mods please can all Tesco management names be removed from this forum - I really do not think it is acceptable for an employee's full name and the store they work at to be posted on here

  • I'm fairly certain Trading Standards would be very interested in your case. I've had a couple of games via the outdated poster route :) I've never been refused on the grounds that the offer is out of date. They are still advertising the game at a lower price than you were charged!! The fact that the very small print tells you it's out of date is a pile of crap.

Apologies - I've amended my original postings (but I can't amend your posting that you quoted his name in! You'll have to eddit that one).

I understand whay you're saying but anyone can get that infomation fairly easily.

I appreciate that but i don't feel there is any need to post someones full name and place of work on a forum which is viewed by half a million people when they are unaware of it and for the record despite disgruntled customers demanding i never give out my full name - I always tell them my first name and postion in the store as i can be 'traced' by H/O from that information alone if need be.

It indeed will be right by the CSD but as i said there is no need for it to be posted on a forum viewed by half a million people - It is irrelevent information to anyone on here.
