I've been in a few stores now that have even had signs up (tasteful A4 lasercopied pages) that say they have a bulk buy policy of one item, when challenged on this, they said it only applies to refunds!?!?!?

So if you bought more than one of a mispriced item, you would get R&R on one then they would only give the difference on the other (or a normal refund)

It just makes me laugh when stores/employees accuse R&Rers of abusing the policy but feel its ok to abuse the policy in their favour!

I've seen stores with posters that actually say that there is a bulk buy refund policy. Every time I've argued it (bought one more than the specified bulk buy refund policy - none of which were the same item, by the way), and each time they've caved in. :T One day I might just report them to HO for the A4 laminated store made addition to the national policy....haven't really bothered yet, as they've caved in each time so far and I don't go to the store very often.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Yes, thanks. Nice quiet family one with the TV and Internet turned off until the evening. First time I've been on MSE since Xmas Eve so just catching up on things too.
Hope everybody (and I mean everybody) here has had a good one too.
    Can I help?
  • just a quick question.. does that period of time in between Christmas and New Year make it easier to obtain items that mispriced or does it make it more difficult due to sales.. ?

I was showing some friends MSE earlier.. ( new converts;)) and a discussion took place on if there is a difference in whether or not its a regular male or female R&Rer going to Customer Services.. would a fella be more or less successful in obtaining a straightforward R&R?

Went to visit my gran yesterday and took along 12 boxes of cadburys fingers.. for the other residents..... I did buy them to take into the office however... your appeal reminded me that they dont always get the things they want, more a case of the things they need.. so thank you.

You offer any pensioner in a home a garibaldi or a tenner they'll take the garibaldi every time:rotfl:
