Strange offer on the after eights  in my local store 2 POS side by side.

    3 for £5.00
BOGOF ( buy one get one free )

What would happen if i was to buy 4 packets ;) would it go through the till as 3for £5.00 and then a further charge of £2.66 for the fourth packet? Or

Would i get the BOGOF offer?

Check the expiry dates, one of the offers has probably finished.

I saw someone returning the recalled Christmas lights last night.....only to be told by CS that they could only have the current selling price of £8.xx (they were sure they had paid a lot more but had not held on to the receipt).

I thought that was shocking (if you'll excuse the pun). Whenever I have seen other shops recall products (Boots and Woolies spring to mind) I have seen recall posters saying 'bring the item back in and we will refund the full price of £xx.xx'. I know this because Woolies had recalled a toy I had bought in the January sale, I took it back, no receipt, got the original full price back with an apology.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Definitely an ask to see the manager problem, then trading standards. Typical of Tescos, probably haven't briefed staff on the recall properly.

BOGOF is for the Milk chocolate variety of After Eights, 3 for £5 is for the standard ones - All clearly stated on the POS

  • I download prices daily from tesco.com into Excel to see if there are any changes in the prices to high value items.
In the run up to Christmas there has been hardly any changes to prices (if anything they have gone lower not higher) but interestingly I have noticed they have taken all PS2 games off their grocery website...just as the PS2 2 for £25 offer is about to end (26/12)

If I had to guess I think it means this offer may end and not be continued. I think they've taken it off their website obviously afraid that you'll order some PS2 games now for a delivery slot next week and the games would come with stickers on for an offer that is no longer relevant...

Could be a bargain sale coming!;)

had a sticker on it with £15.97, sel was 17.97,

bought two, one with sticker one without, customer service just wanted to refund the different, I said thats not store policy, she said it doesn't count as I used self serve and it has to be a till worker, I said it doesn't say that on the board behind you does it.

She called the manager, he came, she asked him, he said no its still our error, refund it

Cheeky way of trying to get out of things, she tried to peel the £15.97 sticker off aswell incase i'd stuck it on myself
