  • Mine was delivered yesterday, and I'm thrilled with it. Spent my time on the train watching a great film. Noramlly I am forced to do several sudoku puzzles. I know which I prefer!
  • well, ive ordered mine today... came onto the site lookin for recommendations. im off on holiday in a months time and was concious that i dont currently own an mp3 player, but also was thinking about a camcorder AND a digital camera - hey, this may not have the best megapixels or whatever, buts its ALL the items i was going to have to buy all in one! just hope it performs well! ;)

despite having spent £99 (what its now advertised at!!!) on this, ive saved loads, as i probably would have spent the best part of £200 just on a creative zen vision m or similar...

UPDATE: it arrived!!! ( a day later than arranged via website, but support rang me the following day to inform shipping after i'd chased it). all is fine. put 40 albums and about 15 movies on. only issues were a couple of incompatible file type messages, but most of my movies are downloaded in divx or avi format, so minimal issues there. supplied speaker is low volume, but could be used in a quiet environment. my pair of senhheiser speakers really improve the sound!!!

the recessed "nipple" control pad is not too well thought out. best to use your finger nail, but a very minor point. i have tried the camcorder, and its adequate. the sound quality of mp3 if fine for me. movie playback quality is good, with a wide viewing angle, so two people (i.e. on a plane) could watch a movie (you'll need a splitter to put two headphones into the headphone socket..). via usb windows xp recognizes player fine. no software install needed. i actually like the file "browser" approach of the grundig - you can just drag and drop stuff into the appropriate folders from "my computer" / "whatever your pc calls the grundig!!" - very easy.

this has to be my bargain of the year to date. thanks again for the thread that led to my purchase!! this has probably saved me a couple of hundred quid, as - mentioned above - i would have bought separate camcorder, camera, mp3 player for forthcoming hols. ;););)
  • hey all.

Sorry to drag this up again, but I have a couple of issues I still want to iron out, hopefully someone will help?!! Sorry for being lazy I just can't be 1/2 arsed to read all the PDF!

Firstly, I've had a couple of times where the sound becomes out of synch with the video - How do you re-synch this?

Has anyone had a video file play, get say 1/2 way through or so, and just stop and go to the next, even though the file hasn't ended? I have several short (20 min) videos, and when playing on no more than 2 occasions it's just skipped to the next without finishing the last. Any clues?

Also (sorry to go on) how do you record direct from DVD / TV? I'm sure it's been posted already somewhere in the mass behind!

Skipping on MP3's has really calmed down, I think it was because it was knew, and the HD was getting used to the mass of MP3's I put on initially!

Thanks for all your help in the past guys, and in advance for your help with these minor issues as really i'm very happy with my unit!
