I Formated mine in the end,and have now started again ! i am now recording another dvd ,and thats working, but i had to press a lot of buttons ,cause it sems the it had to"wake up the hard disc"when this one is done, i am going to try to put another on,if that works i just put another 1 on and that will be it.
I have to put my pictures back and music ,but that so easy to do and takes minutes.

been looking for a something like this for a while

can anybody with some downloaded divx/xvid of various quality give me some results , did they play ok?

would like to use this to play some prison break/lost and some films

with the screen being 4.3 will 16.9 divx or xvid files have black borders?

for 99 quid it does look a good bargain , i have yet to see anything else in the same sort of price bracket with the same features :D

When I record from the TV/SKY/DVD it record fine, but if I record from my PC's SVIDEO connection to AV, the screen seems to be very jumpy and also sometimes missing a few frames. Any Ideas would be appreciated. Has anyone else tried copying a PC screen to the device via the PC Svideo (if you have one of course) ?p.s. - I've already done the obvious changing resolution/HZ etc, no improvments.

Does the Grundig actually accept an Svideo signal as an input? I would bet it is composite in and out. Can your PC card output a composite signal?

Am considering getting this to replace my mini archos. Just wanted to know if you can transfer movies recorded from tv to your pc hard drive and still watch it ? (ie is it copy protected like the archos which doesnt allow you to do this as you can only watch them via the archos. unless its in wmv format).

i have now found that when i press record i have to then press menu,to get the hard disc to "wake up"
This has taken 7 days to do this now.
I need to thank about 6 guys who emailed me and gave me such good suggestions ,on how to work it. Many thanks .

Just ordered one, went through fine. then decided to read the fine print...do not deliver to Northern Ireland. Just E-mailed them to ask what the status is. I HATE companies that don't deliver her. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
  • Mine arrived a couple of hours ago, it's charging up right now. I have to say, it looks lovely, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's supplied with a protective leather case too.

It's a lot smaller than I expected too.
