Ok robpiggott.let us know how you get on. Must admit i never got angry with mine,nearly did a few times,but i was more angry with myself for not understanding how to do it.And it dont help that the manual is on Pdf and its hopeless anyway

Got mine today, and first impressions are good. I've got it on charge on, so probably be tomorrow before I get around to putting anything of my own on it.

My pmp arrived today. For the life of me I cant get it to record off the TV. I have e-mailed Grundig so will post here if I have any joy.

tried the music side and its very good. things are looking rosier...and its real usb2...very fast...LOL

Hi everyone, to record of the TV make sure that you are connecting to the AV out plugs, lots of TV's seem to have AV in plugs more visible than the AV outs, once you have pluggd nto the AV outs andthe PMP is in video record menu, hold the menu button, and when the display comes up change on the menu from camera to line in.

you use this method when also recording from a DVD player, AV outs lways seem to be present on DVD players, a couple of our portables do not seem to have them, I am sure that there must be another method.

keef 1,me friend,i cant seem to get more than 1 dvd on the player ! i am doing through the home dvd ,got 1 on ok,now just tried putting another 1 on ,and i can see its recording it for a while then the screen goes black ,but i can here the voices from the film,then when its finished ,there is nothing !!!

Ok ive just recorded from my TV...however it does not record straight from the TV as you will find that the red/yellow/white sockets on your tv are for video in rather that video out...which is why you guys and girls are getting a blank screen. however if you have a digibox of somekind then these usually output the tv picture via the r/y/w/sockets. Ive just tried it and have recorded bigbrov. this is why you can copy your dvd to the unit from your dvd player as it outputs the picture via the required sockets. now you can get around this by buying a scart adaptor that connects to the rear of your tv and allows you to plug in your r/y/w cables thus getting a picture out to record on to your grundig.

It maybe differernt for LCD/Plasma freeview Tvs..but i dont have one so cant tell. Better and better all the time. now got to see if i can convert the asf files to avi or dvd files???

check you hard drive amount left on the system settings and see how big the first one is you recorded
