    The good:

    * Simple synchronisation
    * Decent battery life
    * Large feature list
    * Supports video recording and external playback

    The bad:

    * Shallow, confusing interface
    * Poor camera performace
    * Tricky power cabling

    More good things than bad

    I think the trouble with reading reviews it is sometimes difficult to get a balanced view, I did not notice the pricetag on that review before you pointed it out, the way I am looking at it is even for nothing else a 30gb to store all of my photos and to be able to take them around with me with at the very worst nothing else will do me at the price, put a few films on there as well and hopefully a bargain.

    well due to arrive tomorrow lets hope Grundig do not let me down.
  • imho - it shouldn't really matter that you have transferred the dvd onto 3 or 4 files as they will play consecutively on you PMP in "video play" mode.
    After ripping the dvd onto your computer, look at, or play, the big files (usually1gb) to check that's what you want to transfer, rename them by right clicking on each one and selecting Rename(call each file eg Shrek 1.avi, Shrek 2.avi etc) then drag them onto your Splitter programme and Convert as a batch. Once converted, right click on each one and"send to" your PMI hard drive. Then go to My Computer and open up the PMI icon and this will display the normal grundig files, plus the new files you have just converted. Drag and Drop each one, in numerical order, onto the "Video" folder and they will store on the Grundig and playback consecutively, albeit with a couple of seconds gap between each file as one finishes and the next one loads. Does this help?
