...........Im 30 years old, im right on top of the lowest reaction time bracket. I recently retired from representing the UK in online gaming, I have a hand/eye reaction time of 130-180ms (not quite beating an F1 driver). Typically foot/eye reaction times are 3% higher.

So unfortunately, I really am faster than you.

Sadly, playing "need for speed" isn't quite the same as a real road, and just because your router is faster than mine doesn't mean you can actually drive an F1.
But it does explain a lot.

    1st time 179.8ms (using a PC)
    2nd time 282.6ms (using a different PC)
3rd time. 364.6ms (using a laptop with mouse)

All done on a 5 click average.

A nice novelty game, but as my results show, hardly scientific proof of anything which is why tests such as this should only be carried out in a controlled environment.

Lets say for example, your following a car with a clear 2 second + gap between you, but unbeknown to you, the muppet driving it has no brake lights (it's not due for MOT, so he/she isn't bothered).
If they brake hard, there's no two ways about it.... You WILL end up implanted in their boot.

It's not your fault, but what proof do you have?
If the above happens, and you have proof, and everyone accepts the brake lights were not working, is it accepted by insurance companies and the police that the accident was not your fault?

Thanks for all your time and help Strider, I'll just have to give this one up - it just doesn't work for me! I'll add three years and 2 hours to the date and time in my head.
WHen I type in F: (the camera drive) and run (XP now) there's a window with just DCIM - which is the card. I drag the TAG.TXT file to this window switch off the camera, disconnect, switch on again, record something, connect, play and the old date/time is still there.

5ms, 18ms or 500ms doesn't prove anything as it was only obtained once.
I've scored 180 in darts so why am I an engineer and not a world darts champion?

Now, if someone could get 5ms or 18ms on a regular basis (say 5 in a row), that might prove something.

The give away is the large gap where the average time is "Average:...............1.6" ;)
Quick change it before anyone notices :p
