Update: I have got the phone back today, the paper that was with it said there was a fault but did not say what, and said the programs have changed slightly due to them upgrading it.
The low signal remains as is was, 3G is off and i'm sat here with 2 bar signal, if i pick up the handset it goes down to 1 bar, exactly the same as it was when i sent it away.
What do i do here? I have already dropped important calls from the doctor and hospital due to this handset, and also had the physiotherapist asking if i had a land line or could i go outside while she phoned, just last week, thats not at all what the phone is supposed to be like.
I hope Heidi can come up with a solution.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -
As above.
Switch 3g off?
Cancel the DD?
Buy the second 1p phone on PAYG (probably on another network) and use it like a landline only for receiving calls at home and making a few calls?
The problem is that mobiles are not supposed to work indoors. Some may work, some not. If they don't work indoors, this doesn't mean that they are faulty.0 -
Then its not fit for its purpose of purchase if it doesn't work indoors. I can do nothing more to resolve it.Owed out = lots. :cool:0

You're missing his point. No mobile is guaranteed to work inside any building. The construction of some actively block the signal to some extent or fuly. There's nothing you or the manufacturers can do in that case.0

Plastic handsets work fine, i think you have all totally gone off track so i'm ending my posts here, i will wait for Heidi to get back to me, thanks for all the input.Owed out = lots. :cool:0

I do sympathise if other handsets work adequately, as OP states. In that case, on a comparative basis, the handset just might not be fit for purpose.
However, reading this set of 330 customer reviews for the handset, it does not appear that poor reception is widely found, so I don't know where OP goes from here, other than to use a cheap handset that works in the home.
