Hester and Minder as you slide down the bannister of life may all the splinters be facing the right way ;) May your love be modern enough to last the times but old fashioned enough to last forever. Have a fantastic day today, the day I got married we had thunder, rain AND hail stones  Enjoy your handfasting, can't wait to see the pics :D

JackieG - Happy Anniversary to you and Mr G, hope you enjoy your special day today :D

    morning!

congratulations to Hester and the Minder today - hope you both have a wonderful day x x x x

    JackieG - happy anniversary!

Molly - good luck to DS x x

its the start of my 9 days off today!:j

had a bit of a lie in and read my book - unfortunately I've got a stiff and sore back so not doing anything too strenuous, a bit of touching up on the bits I missed with the painting then later taking DS to work(overtime) and some grocery shopping.

Have vacuumed and tidied through here so far and WM is on its final spin.

Am trying the quorn meatballs this weekend, going to make a nice tomato sauce and have them with some linguine thats been lurking in the cupboard for a while. DH wont eat that as he's not a huge pasta fan so will find something else for him from the freezer.

(((hugs))) to those who need them.

    have a great day all

    Take care x

    Good morning all,
Hester I hope you and minder have a beautiful day. Hopefully the rain will hold off for you this afternoon. Best wishes to you both, you have worked so hard:beer:
Dinner today is pork & mushrooms with Anya potatoes from the garden for the 12 of us with sausages for the children if they prefer.

I have a lot of housework to catch up on - washing, vacuuming & bread making just for starters - weekend catch-up.

Happy Saturday all, hugs for those who need or want.
    Cheers, Silver x

    Morning all

HESTER hopefully you will have good weather, you've worked so hard and obviously fit together. Enjoy your day.

Windy and sunny here today, hopefully it will stay dry as we have our local airshow here, so will mooch down later to see the flying. Also have tons of washing to go out on the line.

Tea tonight is gammon, will bung it in the slow cooker later. Just reading the preparing for winter thread. Not too bad here last year but my kitchen is always freezing as it has a wooden door which leads on to an outhouse that's a bit like a brick shed.

Must get up and on as I'm still in bed.

Have a good day all and hugs to all who need one

  • Hi Guys!

Long time since I posted but wanted to say hello and hope that you're all keeping okay.

I have just come out of hospital after spending a few weeks in there as my health remains poor. Had to have a Picc line put in. I'm still not good but am being cared for by the district nurses at home again 2-4 times a day.

DD finished her last GCSE yesterday. Where does the time go? Do you remember when she started at her secondary school? She and OH remain well and the business is doing great. We are so proud of her and she is currently looking for a little job to give her some extra money until she starts college late September.

Anyway, it's only a short one, just to let you know I'm ok and still following the majority of OS.

Hester - congratulations! I hope you have an amazing day, I'm sure it will be fantastic whatever the weather
Hugs and well wished to all who need them today

Treated myself to a little lie-in today, only got up around 9.30 :O
The laundry is done all apart from a small fleece blanket (well its a metre of fleece straight off the roll - I've never got around to doing anything to it but it serves me well on the sofa of an evening!) it's all just waiting to go outside to dry. We have no tumble drier and it looks a lot like it might rain so I'm going to have some porridge and then maybe put it out if it's still dry. The weather is so darn unpredeictable!
one load of dishes is in the dishwasher already, there is another load waiting to go in (*grr* do wish my parents would use the same cup more than once for their coffee sometimes!)

The last couple of days I keep experiencing a sharp pain in my kidneys which is both annoying and worrying. I must sound like I'm falling apart! yet another thingto check with the dr...my dad has Polycystic Kidney Disease so I think this may be one ailment I actually consult the dr about.

I have some baking I should get done today and I said I'd vac the house through, no idea what will be for tea tonight-freezer raiding perhaps.

Hope everyone has a good day

    Morning all

Hester and Minder - hope you have a fantastic handfasting, can't wait to see the pics :)
    Penny-pincher - hope you're feeling better now x

I had a fantastic night out last night :D there were 8 of us from my uni course, ranging from 25 to 50 in age. We went to chinese for food, then to a dodgy pub which had a good band playing, and then onto a pub with a dancefloor! I was gutted to leave at half12 to catch the last train home! Got chatted up by some random bloke on the train home too :rotfl:. Surprisingly I'm not hungover today either! I was awake at 6.30 :( but managed to doze off and on then til 10.

I'm off to meet girls for lunch and shopping at the shopping centre near me soon, hope the rain stops though as it's not covered! Need to get birthday present for my mum (tomorrow), fathers day card (also tomorrow!) and present for my flakey friend (friday). Got a spend £15 get £5 off WHSmiths voucher so will look in there for ideas.

OS wise - leaving WM for now as it's raining, DW loaded and will go on shortly.

    Have a good day all
