Problems with cake toppers CO. - need advice

I have to write because i am so frustrated at moment. I ordered cake toppers from Boogie Babys and have been very excited about receiving them. However i was given the original date of 19th May. When they didnt arrive and I received no correspondence so I contact BB and it took a week to get a reply. Personal stuff had led to the delay which was fine, I took this onboard and I was offered another delivery date which was the 13th June.

It is now the 17th June and nothing has arrived. I have sent three emails to them and have had no one response to apologise or update me on what the problem is. I have also tried calling but no one picks up the phone. I dont know what else to do.

I thought maybe something awful has happened but surely if you have a business you may post something on your website to alert your customers that there's a problem so delay may occur, this would at least alleviate stress. But there is nothing on the webiste that leads me to think heres a problem at all.

My wedding isnt until 23rd July (thank goodness) and if a later date is necessary well that would be ok, but i am sooo frustrated with the terrible lack of communication particularly given this is the second missed delivery date. I dont know what to do and am just hoping that the cake toppers will either just turn up or eventually the co. will contact me in reponse to all my emails.

Has anyone else has this problem with this co? I love the product and was so excited about receiving them. I am utterly gutted and its just one more thing to worry about leading up to the big day that i could really do without. At this late stage i am not going to be able to find alternatives that im completely happy with and have already paid for these ones from BB.

Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. :(

    Have you tried contacting them as a new customer...that way they may respond if they think that you wish to place an order...otherwise keep trying the phone ...the website says you can phone up until 7.30 in the evening so try phoning a little later than daytime...

    also try phoning first thing and avoid lunchtime and straight after work as these times tend to be the bussiest hope you get it sorted

    That is terrible service, could you not get a refund and purchase elsewhere? Failing that can you find their address and send them a letter? I dont think I would want them to send me the toppers after all of that. Hope you get it sorted soon x

    Thanks for your posts. Needless to say i still havent heard a thing from BoogieBabys..I have sent 5 emails and called at numerous times of the day/evening but nothing. I consider myself to be a fairly reasonable person who would be understanding of most excuses but this completely takes the mick.

    I'm beginning to think i wont get these cake toppers or my money back ever!! Its appalling customer service, and i am utterly shocked that a business can behave so badly. Unfortunately i wont be recommending them to anyone in the future.
  • i have just emailed them asking if they are taking orders as i have an (imaginary) big family topper i want doing...
    we shall see if they are answering new order enquiries and just ignoring you, or if they arent answering anyone,

    maybe you can ebay message them, they seem to be very very busy though this still doesnt excuse it, they could have stated that they may not be able to respond quickly, id maybe ask for a refund and see if that spurs them on

    I got my Cake Toppers from BB. The lady just works herself AFAIK. Mine went over the delivery date by a week and I emailed and she answered with 2 days with a new date. She did send them round about then. She was always fairly prompt in communication and certainly wasn't lacking in customer service or 'scam' like in any way. I'm not sure what to suggest really :/

  • just went to check my emails and theres nothing there... so i read one from ebay and as if by magic.. it appears!
    shes online now and apparently taking orders! go go go lol

    Thanks for all your suggestions. I still havent had any reply...i am beside myself with frustration to be honest. I dont know what else to do...I mean..she knows she was supposed to deliver them on 13th June, and knows they didnt arrive as I paid for special delivery!!! I have now sent 6 emails and found a mobile number but no reply when i ring. Just cant work it out!!

    I have already paid her £60 for them too so really really dont want to order anything else until i know for certain what is going on.

    I dont think its a scam or anything..there is simply no excuse for such a lack of communciation.

    PS. i HAVE ASKED FOR A REFUND ON EMAIL N0.3!! No response!!
