I'm not suggesting anyone is making stuff up, I am just gutted I wasted a bottle of Johnson's finest.
OT though, how about ringing another accident helpline and ask them what they would expect to get for you to give a comparison?0 -
Not sure why the OP - who is still a newbie - is getting so much stick over nothing.
But buried amongst the guff there is one helpful answer.
There is a 'going rate' for injuries and it looks like in the OP's case it's around £5,000 plus incidental losses.
Try Googling 'Criminal Injuries Compensation Board' or 'CICB'.
It should give an idea of what you might expect if you'd received the same injuries in an assault.
I'd have a look myself, but I'm on a slow dongle connection.0 -

Seems like a bit of a silly and pointless lie.:cool:0 -

...Merely curious as to the purpose that such a blatant lie involving the forum automatically generating usernames at registration serves...
I recall the forum did offer to autogenerate something when I registered, although it probably wasn't the user name.
To be fair to the OP, it was over a year ago and it's hardly the sort of thing that's worth remembering exactly.
I think there are far more interesting points to her post - like how a road accident always seems to end up costing the innocent party in one way or another.0 -

The sum they have offered is £4000 odd?
That is a decent amount for a minor RTC.
The normal industry figure is around £1500/1800.
As far as the value of your car i am surprised you even got that for a 7 yr old Meriva with high miles. It would go for £1000 less at auction and is not the most popular on the used market, possibly unfairly as it is a decent family runaround, but used car values are fickle things, you do realise that your car was worth under £6000 when it was three years old don't you?0 -
