Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.

Richard is talking about business acounts. He could not put your £30K deposit in a domestic customer's savings account.
Nor could he mess around switching accounts all the time when the '12 month bonus period' expired! He spends his time looking for legal issues in conveyancing, not playing around with miniscule % points on bank accounts!0 -

But the Santander a/c doesn't offer separate sub-accounts for each client to make the accounting easy.

Also, moving a banks is not done lightly. Would Santander offer me a terminal so that could make CHAPs payments on line or would I have to send someone down to the branch each time I wanted to make one?
The Clients Account has to be instant access. Where I am it is a choice of Lloyds TSB, Barclays, HSBC and Nat West. I can't see any point in moving if I am otherwise satisified with the service I get from my bank.RICHARD WEBSTER

Nor would a loft conversion if it isn't a proper room and included in the price of the sale as a room, iyswim.
Searches and disbursements nearly always seem to be about £500, so that's where I'd expect your bill to be. Indemnities on top, of course, if the vendors are not paying, but I'd query whether you need two of them!0
